This is where we disagree. I don't think Power will ever be good defensively. He is to passive and is unwilling to use his size to his advantage.

Terry you have driven this franchise into the ground. Do yourself and the city and the fans a favor fire your Yes-Man Adams and sell the team. Give a willing owner the chance to hire competent management to fix this team. There is actually enough here to build from, but you and Adams are not the men for the job. The sad thing is that there is a core of something that could work, but the team is so mismanaged and the roster so poorly constructed the puzzle pieces will never work without a fresh look This is what we really have ????? To make this work Power, Cozens, Byrson, Joki, Krebs, Samuelsson, and Clifton all need to go. I like Zucker and I'd keep him until the deadline, trade him and then bring him back on another one year smaller deal. We need two playmakers hopefully at center. We need partners with a bent toward defensive play for Dahlin and Byram. We also need our D to be tougher and more physical.

That’s my point. Adams gave him the deal and he put him in a position to fail. His judgement on NHL players is terrible and he should be fired immediately.

They are paying him $8 per season. That is no 1 D money. If he isn’t ready for that level of responsibility than our GM shouldn’t have given him that contract. Just more evidence Adams should be fired.

What is so sad is that we could see this coming as the Avs bottled up the Sabres to end the 1st period. I knew then that the collapse was only a matter of time. I even posted about the lack of defense.

Don't forget Power. The friendly giant who literally can't play defense. He doesn't hit anyone, he doesn't use his size to move people out and has no idea how to make the first pass out of the zone. To make it worse, he doesn't even try.

Adams vision: Give me a bunch of soft puck moving D who can't play D and a bunch of forwards with good shots who skate fast, but no players who actually know how to set up a teammate or play 200 feet. Lets face it, after TNT, Tuch, Dahlin, UPL, Benson and JJP, there is not a single player on this team worth keeping.

I'm done as well. To much else to do in my life than waste time and energy on this team. Until they get competent management this team is done.

Cozens, Power, Joki, Clifton, and Bryson all need to be gone by Xmas after Adams is fired.
