Welp, only game 1 and we look worse than under Granato. Can’t get worse can it?

Last year I broke and pulled for the local team, the Panthers. Thoroughly enjoyed their cup run. I enjoyed hockey for the first time in 12 years.

Well that was about a worse case scenario start.

Just the first period of the first game but it’s like watching the exact same thing that’s been plaguing them for years. Not one thing has changed. Disturbing start.

McDermott has done well slowing the Ravens offense the past few times. With the starters missing and the drain of talent on the back end, we simply did not have the dawgs to win that fight. I kinda figured our offense would have to score in the 30’s to win this game.

I can imagine a fast start but reality coming crashing in around mid season. Not sure this is a playoff team but we will finally make some progress to becoming one.

Yeah that was disturbing. Take that game to 21-17 and doubt would’ve started creeping in that stadium. Cook was starting to run the ball and JA found rhythm. Mind boggling to suddenly throw in an unnecessary trick play that was not tricky at all. The game was over right there.

Hopefully it’s just one game. But tonight exposed a lot if fears I had about the wr corps, d-line, secondary, Bass, and coaching that we hid against the three bad teams we played. Against a contender, we’d be one and done in the playoffs as is.

Got our a$$es handed to us tonight against a legit team. Long way to go. Might actually be good for them.

Looks like we are getting our teeth kicked in tonight after an unexpectedly great start. Defense totally overwhelmed so far is what is disturbing. This game will humble you quick. Hopefully we at least have a better second half going into next week.
