I think he didn't take it because why would he want to leave a job that allows everything you just mention haha. As for myself, I've got a dog storey. I own a great dane who's almost three and she's a big suck most of the time. However lately she hasn't been listening when I call her, pulls like mad on her leash and has dug under the fence in the backyard. This morning before work, I go calling for her and sure enough, she's not in the backyard and I see yet another gapping hole going under the fence. So I spend 20 minutes and find her down the road at the park and do you think she'd come when I called? Nope. So I end up finally takeling her and bring her home. By the time I get to work I'm almost a half hour late!

Had the boys over for drinks last night which inevitably led to ordering some pizza. Now I'm putting in extra time at the office eating cold, stale pizza and feeling like sh*t. I've got a prime rib roast ready to go for tomorrow though.

Thanks but the shipping could be up to 30 business days! That's six weeks. By then we could be on the golf course. I'll just have to wait until my twice annual trip back to the arena next season....

Made the trip to the Sabres game last weekend and my mission was to buy a sabres car flag. It's always a great feeling driving around Toronto with my flag flying proudly. However, I think it's more of a playoff thing so I wanted to wait to put it on my car once I knew we were in for sure. I thought I placed it high enough up that my great dane would not notice it or reach it. I was wrong, it's destroyed! Living out here it's not like I can to go the nearest Target or wherever to pick another one up..... Now I'm left without my flag :( :cry:

I know that the Tin Man has been brutal this year but I really don't think Needs has been much better. I barely notice him unless it's a bonehead mistake.

The only problem with the Roy Vanek Ennis line is that they are our CLEAR CUT three best forwards on the team without question. I absolutely love the line together but that leaves awfully slim pickins to fill out the remaining three lines. I agree with a previous poster, I say we keep the line together and try to play them as much as possible.

Hahahhaa, I wish they could sell out a game at 7 am. They can barely sell out at prime time now of days. I bought tickets for the Caps game on Saturday back in August when I thought they'd be great and tickets would be so hard to come by. They were sold out of 100 level so I had to buy 200 Club for $150 a piece. Kicking myself for that right now....

You're absolutely right. That's why it pisses me off that the Sabres insist on having Friday night as their typical home game nights. The NHL's big night is always on Saturday nights. Therefore, the Sabres seem to almost always have their home game on Friday and then travel or host a game the next night. Why can't they be like every other team and have their home games on say Mondays and Saturdays or really any other day than Friday or Sunday? They're putting themselves at a disadvantage before the season even begins by playing so many back to backs. Saying all that, they of course don't play this Friday night.

Sabres have every reason to be just as desperate a team. Let's see if they show it.

Can we expect the Rook to pull out another solid performance? Let's hope so.....

Good on Ruff. People obviously voice their opinions on him one way or the other but since they've been in this slide he's shouldered critisim and now goes on record as saying they WILL make the playoffs. Before everyone starts throwing out the 'I want to see it to believe it' talk, let's give it a couple of more weeks before we completely throw him under the bus. Remember, the Tin man is UFA after this year and isn't Stafford's contract up after this season as well? I also believe that Rivet's is over. This team can be significantly reworked next offseason if desired. I stand by the belief that some players are just lazy and it won't matter what coach they have. I'm not willing to give Ruff a complete free pass and if things continue down this path then I say get some new coaching blood in here but with 70 games to go, I'm STILL willing to give Ruff the benefit of the doubt.

I'm going to the game against the Caps next Saturday. If they don't win tonight or Friday they still will not have won a game on home ice by the time I get there. Never thought that would have been the case when I bought the tickets in August....
