I'll be at my first game of the year on Saturday so I'll boo them onto the ice.

How this is a one goal game is beyond me. This would be robbery if we even end up with one point.

I'm not sure what to say. This is the worst I've seen this play in a long time and they've been bad for awhile. It looks as if they want Ruff fired.

Wow, much respect being given to a team that is 5-8-1 with a -11 goal differential and missed the playoffs last year. We're not a good hockey team and could easily lose this game but the Jets, especially with their road record of 16-25-6 over the past year and a half really scares me.

We have to turn this around at some point and as that article says these next five games are very winnable. I like our third period against the Bruins and outside of the first 5 minutes of the game I liked Sunday as well. Let's get the two points and start a little run here.

Anybody notice that Ruff grabs the clipboard during the timeout with 20 seconds left? Generally it's always the assistants that run the upcoming play during the timeout. He must really be feeling the heat.

Well said. Nice win tonight but we have no chance in the third if Miller doesn't make several key saves early on. You think this team is bad now? Just wait 5 years when Miller isn't in our crease. Nor should he have. I really hope this is our guy of the future but he is not even close to there yet. He can't win a puck battle to save his life.

Just out of curiosity is Girgensons back playing for the Amerks? He got smoked about a month ago and left with a concussion.

Big game. The team is obviously playing poorly but I am not convinced a long losing streak will change anything (firing Ruff). So let's stay in this playoff race until we get this team right and go on our predictable late season run. I have a feeling Stafford and Grigorenko (both overdue) will score tonight.

Just a last point on the game. I don't know if the faceoff circle was brought up. I don't have the stats nor the time at work to look them up but I thought they did a MUCH better job in the dot last night. They need to keep that up.

I'm not sure where you've seen this. I'm a pretty big Hodgson fan and I think he takes enough heat on this board. No way I would call him the little darling. You can definelty make the point that Hodgson is playing with Vanek and Pommers and that's why he's piling up the points. However, I like how you somewhat minipulated the stats to drive home your point. There have only been 11 games this year. You informed us of the last 7, therefore the first 4 games of the year: Hodgson 3 goals 1 assist, Ennis 0 goals, 1 assist.

I completely agree with your Vanek point. However, I'm not sure Regier is wrong in saying what he said. We are third in the entire conference in Goals for per game at 3.18. Only Pitt and Tampa are ahead of us yet we're in second last. It's obviously our D killing us and not our O. I'm also not going to get into the 'but our goals for is only x if you don't include Vanek.' Well he's on our team so you have to include him which only supports your first point.

Noooooooo! You started our comeback against Boston. I was looking for your posts when we went down by 3 against Montreal last game.

That's usually what I do too.

If there is ever an opportunity to get out of this funk it's tonight. Montreal just played a fairly emotional (for division lead) game last night and we've been sitting at home waiting for them. Another loss tonight, especailly uninspired, and I'm really going to lose it.

I hear ya, and I would put up with one terrible (shortened) year to get a top 3 pick in this years draft. Problem is 10 games is a long way off and you know this team as much as I do that this team won't finish that low. I hate that we finish between 8-11th but that's who we are. I still don't buy us being 14th or 15th in the East.

I love how we have Hecht out there with less than a minute to go. Not that it was a bad move by Ruff, we obviously arn't that good talent wise. An afterthought to this team and he's one of our best forwards.
