Ya I find I'm watching much MORE hockey with the Sabres being as terrible as they are. Have to fend of the shart competition.

A good team will help weak energy in the building. It was always rocking the two years after the lockout.

Your an hour and a half early ink. This belongs in the fantastic Friday threat. Glad everything is going well with your little guy. If your ten weeks in then it should only be a few more weeks before he's sleeping through the night (if he's not already). Enjoy these moments. Lots more fun to come.

Tell me about it. In my other league which is a money league I needed an RB and after some extensive research saw that Rainey and Steven Jackson have great matchups and was able to pick both up. I come on here looking for one or both and sure as ###### they are both gone here. That's why I think this league could be viable going dynasty, it's very competitive which I love (even with a losing record).

He's a boarderline starter to begin with. My guess is he didn't play the next game due to that and the Sabres won so TN went with the same lineup. They played well enough to win last night too so if Zads isn't too sore I wouldn't be surprised they go with the same lineup again (regardless of how Foligno is).

And I think if we get back to being good that will happen again with this strong fan base. From all indications, either one of those guys will go a long way to getting us back to our hay day. I realize it's only one player but when you get your franchise guy in place it's much easier to work out the rest. It's probably easier for a non-STH (although I'm a long time mini-pak holder) to not feel bad for the STH being gouged this year because there is the potential to make it up in spades if the long stated plan falls into place.

Ya Mike Schopp (who I never care for) was discussing this issue last night on 550 and he brought up a good point. He said he shares seasons right now and they try and sell the odd game off to help cover the cost. Well this year and last he basically couldn't give the tickets away but he was talking about how McDavid changes that overnight. He already had someone approach him looking to buy the rights to his tickets for a game next year that's conditional on the Sabres getting McDavid. Would the value of your seasons be as high with Eichel as McDavid? Probably not but there is the potential for it. If the Sabres can land one of these two big prospects I could see tickets to this team being similar to right after the lockout, ie. you couldn't find a ticket and had to pay STH way above market value to get in the building. Short term financial pain for long term financial gain.

Even if we rush Armia by 20 or whatever games by having to bring him up I would still take that potential beating to his development and Eichel then 20 games in the A for Armia and Zacha.

Depends on if it can finish off a tank

Ya I think it may get to be too many teams if some can't drop out. I don't think we should have to drop any teams but if they are way behind and not a real threat at that time they can be moved out (with the potential to move back in down the road). By the way we are much further than 10 games in so can we atleast add in Columbus. I know it's due to injuries but I didn't even realize how high they are in the CHL standings until someone mentioned how bad they are in another thread.

Another idea to throw out there. If we have everyone committed to staying in the league then maybe we could start a dynasty league starting next year. That adds a whole new element but the downside is it really wouldn't work if even a couple of owners don't show up for the draft or even make lineup changes.

That's ironic we have the exact same goalies in the different leagues. I've also go Bernier who has been very much hit or miss. He will be on my bench all week that's for sure. -

Hahahhaaha, my goalies also started the week with shutouts. Allen and Crawford? -
I agree with this. But I do think it's a cool idea. Maybe every five or so games you can put a sentence after the standings saying what those teams were at if you so choose. Keeps the standings clean but also puts this season in historical context.

We can have another live draft as we did this year. An in person draft is more difficult to do based on where everyone lives.
-
I'm loving these ideas guys. I think $20 each would be great, it's just the logistics that would need to be worked out. I would love an in person draft but I'm not sure that's possible.
-
So he's more of a shutdown type then. Ok thanks.

That's fair. It is still early so I'm sure Kylington could put up big points. As I admit I know little about him but just looking at raw numbers, in a draft with a very strong top 10 to 15 players I'm surprised he is standing out as number 4 in many rankings.
-
Weak draft class, later second round pick. It'll be awhile before we find out if either has any shot at the NHL.
-
Kylington makes me a bit nervous just because he's playing in Sweden. The development path for Armia has seemed much longer as he gets use to NA ice. Although Risto has seemed to transition well so maybe that fear is unfounded. I know you are very high on Zacha Liger but I haven't seen too many rankings having him in the top 5. I admit I haven't watched Kylington but he's not putting up huge points over there. I know it's against older players etc. but still.

In related news, the Oilers continue to ruin their team by force feeding their top picks (ie. Yak).
-
I think that's right. I just think they will go more all in for next season if they land one of the top two guys.
