If I had no restrictions I would say Grigo and Pysyk are up with the team but guessing if one of those two were to get traded? I'd go with the former.

More and more websites (banking/investing) and now my damn log on to my work computer keep asking me to change my log in password every 30 days. Ok fine, I guess that's a good practice. Except now you can't use any of your last 25 passwords. 25!! How am I to remember my newest password every 30 days when it has to be something completely different (they don't even accept it if it's close to your last one). Why are you telling me how protective I have to be with my own damn password. That should (and use to be) for me to decide.

I'm going to disagree and if I had to guess on those I'd say Pysyk is with the Sabres and Grigo traded.

Nothing else. Two core Dmen that have each have the potential to be a top pairing, a potential top line centre (or very good second line centre) and a great looking third line centre. I know nobody else in the organization is a slam dunk but there are some potential 2nd and 3rd line wingers and middle pairing Dmen there. You get yourself a superstar franchise player picking 1 or 2 and everything will fall into place. Also, some have soured on Myers but I think he can still be a good 3rd or 4th Dman on a good team. Ennis could also be a second line winger on a good team IMO. Add in two more firsts in a good draft and it still comes back to us landing that franchise guy.

Hahhahaa. Too many years of seeing the Sabres disappoint me I guess.

By selecting McDavid they will have rebuilt the team in a day (when considering our other pieces already in place). Didn't Crosby put up huge numbers his rookie year? Also someone projected McDavid getting something close to 90 points in his first year based on his OHL stats this season.

I'm not watching this until he's mathematically ours :P

There look to be quite a few guys of interest late in the first and early in the second round. Let's hope the Isles and Blues make quick exits in the playoffs and TM won't have to pick at the very end of the round. Scouting is suppose to be Murray's specialty so here is a huge opportunity for him with likely 3 picks between 20 and 35. I'm trying not to read too much on McEichel as we know how good they are and I don't want to get my hopes up until we win the Shart but it is getting scary how close we are.

Ya it's too bad it's gone down this road. Especially with me watching on a regular basis how good Dal Colle looks. The Bulldog on WGR was saying he hoped the Isles gave us their 2015 even if the Isles won last years lottery and had the first overall selection.

Love the name for it! Final 20 sounds good to me.

Yep exactly. This is the last year we even want to cheer for the tank because guys like Pysyk will be up with the team for sure next season (not waiver eligible). I don't think it will hurt his development any to maintain continuity and leave him in Rochester the rest of the way. He will have his shot to prove his worth in 9 months.

Did he say anything of note? Anyone have a summary? Edit - NM, I see it's discussed in another thread.

I do love that idea and we could get creative but maybe wait until the 60 or 62 game mark for that as we're still a little ways out.

I watched that game last night and it was such a quick release on the shot that went in. He's very elusive and had a stretch in the second period where he dangled around a bunch of players and held the puck in the zone himself for a good 25 seconds. The only downfall on him is I barely noticed him in the first and when the Gens started throwing the body around after going down 2-0 I noticed him less and less.

Sabres player notes 2014-15 (callups, injuries, practice notes)
Derrico replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Oh man that would be the greatest presser in the history of sports. But as Sick says, I don't need him to say anything prior to the draft. -
To be honest I think Hodgson will do much better when help arrives in the way of talent. His style is not conducive to low time in the oppositions end.

Never thought about it that way 11. That would be a cool matchup. It's going to be weird seeing him in the Nucks net.

So with back to backs on Thurs and Fri, any chance Hackett gets the start on Thurs against Edmonton?

This years Tank needed a version of last Tanks Ville Leino. I was curious as to who was going to step up.

You want a meaningful trade? Enroth for a third (or even fourth) to whomever takes him. We ride Hackett to McEichel.
-
With Neuverth out, an Enroth trade would be enormous.

Nice summary, thanks. I look forward to seeing Bob's list.
-
Ya that's my concern as well. He is great with the puck and has good positioning but will he get pushed around at the next level? Not sure. I don't want another Granani type dman that has all offense and clueless in his own end.
-
Ya he brings a unique skill set. Sorry I keep butchering his name as I'm on my phone. He just scored on the power play. 1 plus 1 through half of his first game back.
