On D you have Georges back after missing a bunch of time, Pysyk now playing top 4 minutes, the potential for McCabe to step in and contribute and Risto and Zad are now a year older. Plus the Babcock factor. Edit - I love the addition of Sekera to that top 4. Bogo - Risto Sekera - Pysyk or Zad In conclusion you have 6 forwards and potentially 2 Dmen or 8 of 18 players who played 10 games or less for the Sabres. Plus a new coach.

With all of the new pieces on this team including potentially 4 new top 6 forwards, one new top 4 d plus the potential of another good one, a new starting goalie and a new coach I don't know how much you can really consider last years point total. Literally half of the team may be turned over going into next year. I'm not guaranteeing playoffs by any stretch but I really don't think it's delusional. Who knows, I may be quoted on this a year from now and look like it lol.

I'm not as old as everyone and started really watching the Sabres starting at age 6 in 1991. Game 1 of that Ottawa series is still the best and most fun hockey game I have ever seen (Sabres or otherwise). Only on a Thursday night when the temperature was over 50 degrees and the Rolling Stones were currently touring.
