I was worried it would be TNT out long term so I’ll take this trade.

Good lord this sounds like huge news. Rumours yesterday it would be much longer term.

Bringing my 6 year old nephew to his first game Friday. We’ve got him an old jersey my sons outgrew and will get him a sabretooth or something at the game. Should be awesome but I sometimes wonder if it’s cruel to get him cheering for the Sabres at such a young age lol

Agree with both points. I really wasn’t sure about Zucker signing and first few games didn’t change that but I’m liking what I’m seeing in the last couple. Seems like a better middle 6 than we’ve had the past few years. I’m ok giving Kulich the odd night out to watch the game from above because of his age but that should apply to Quinn too. Slow start, give him a different perspective. Heal up quick Benson. Typical Lindy, no idea what the injury is.

I noticed a couple of nice back checks today using his speed. Not getting a ton yet in the O zone but nice seeing him using that speed to his advantage. That’s his game and he needs to always be back checking hard as he can catch most guys and atleast apply some pressure.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you a few times (including at fan fest a couple weeks ago). Next time I’ll stop and say hi. Definitely could still happen. Also frustrated KA didn’t add another top 6. Let turn this damn thing around! Go Sabres!!

Agreed. I use to go dt Toronto for a night out. It’s obviously much bigger but really, downtown Buffalo has nearly everything you would want (good restaurants, bars/clubs, Sheas theatre, Sabres games, concerts etc) with probably 25% of the crowd, traffic and bs. Others will differ but I’ll take dt buff over dt Tor all day everyday.

I always see it and think what a bizarre name they have. It’s pizza plant but picture of a planet as if that’s what they were going for. Been meaning to try it sometime but my kids always insist on going to Chefs.

Finally some good news seeing reports that JJ and Benson back practising.

So what's the minimum someone is out while on IR? Looks like 7-days? Has it been reported what the injury is?

Agreed. But isn't most teams in trouble if one of their starters go down? The 3-headed goalie idea sounds awful. So the alternative is sending Levi down. But what if (as seems obvious) they think Levi is the better goalie today? Are we not trying to win now? I wanted Reimer as the #3 to be sure. But we're talking about a 36 year old journeyman career backup vs a top prospect no? Sucks we lost him but not sure I wanted them sending Levi down just so they didn't have a chance at losing Reimer.

Wow we are an angry bunch to start the season. The loss pissed me off too but until I hear Benson was a healthy scratch I’ll continue to assume he’s not. Many clips of Ruff praising Benson all through training camp.

Benson being hurt. Hoping it’s nothing serious and they recognize this is very early in the season to have to play through some type of injury on a back to back with 5 days rest incoming.
