I wonder if TBN will throw any Babcock questions out there. Although I guess they had their chance at the DDB presser but I bet they were warned beforehand not too.

I believe it is. I don't think the coach usually participates though so that will be interesting. Also, no Kevin Devine? Looks like his roll has changed since TM took over. Maybe there will be news on Hodgson's future?

GMTM and DDB are scheduled to hold a pre draft presser in just over an hour. Anyone know if it will be streamed? For those at work, a summary of highlights would be appreciated!

This is true. Didn't Grigo play wing the final game or two for Rochester when Reinhart was his C? I remember reading a quote that said he felt comfortable at wing and (I'm paraphrasing) there was less defensive responsibility. He enjoyed having Reinhart as his C.

It was more bringing Pegula into the mix the first time that did it for me. It seems there's a real disconnect between how some value Zadorov and how some value O'Reilly. I'm in the trade for O'Reilly camp if we can all but guarantee an extension is in place but I can see why there's risk in the assets being given up to acquire him.

Ahhhh, he's a big Grigo fan. If it makes you feel any better Heimdall, I'm sure he's just using it as leverage to get a one way deal. I think many would be very surprised if he actually signs a KHL deal.

I agree with this. Not sure we have the amo to get up to Provorov but if we can slide ahead of Dallas at 10 or 11 and grab Werenski that would be phenomenal.

My wife and I were watching the Hawks parade around with the cup and they mentioned how it's their 3rd in 6 years and my wife says 'that's not fair they've won it three times and your team has never won it.' I told her my team has been around for 44 seasons, even the laws of probability say we should have won it by now seeing as there's never been more than 30 teams in the league. She proceeded to laugh at me for 10 straight minutes. God I hope Eichel is the answer. I feel like we're getting closer. If/when that day finally rolls around it'll sure be something special.

Two more weeks until the draft!! We all know who's going at 2 but if the Sabres stick with 21 who is the pick? I know Liger has also said it but I'm going with Jakub Zbroil. He's the big all around LHD that we are looking for. If Tim does manage to move up, I'm guessing he can reasonably get to 10-12 where he will either be targeting Timo Meier or Pavel Zacha. Both guys are big (Meier 6'1, Zacha 6'3) and both play very physical. Both project out to power wingers with a good offensive game. Zacha didn't have the numbers Meier had due to injury and suspension but both are power forwards with enough skill to be top 6 players (probably future top line wingers). As far as goaltending, I'm thinking Murray takes Felix Sandstrom in the middle rounds based on his interviews last week. Last week he really played up Samsonov around the 21 or 31 range. There's no way I'm taking what a GM says about a certain player (or position for that matter) at face value two weeks before the draft. It's clearly a #smokescreen. I love GMTM and love his interviews but if he is seriously tipping his hand two weeks before the draft then this really is amateur hour. No way he takes a Russian goalie (of all things) who refused to even show up for the NHL Combine held in Buffalo. Zero chance he is drafted by the Sabres. I bet he goes with 'just take a big Swedish goalie' approach he has followed in the past.

Nice. Sorry if I missed it but did you hear back on those jobs? As for me, going camping this weekend. First time the little guy is sleeping over in a tent. I bought him a sleeping bag for it and gave it to him last weekend. Hasn't been out of his sight all week and he's been pretty excited. Looks like the weather should hold up too.

I think that all depends on if Zach Werenski is there or not. He's expected to go right around there or a touch higher and I feel there's a pretty big drop between him and the next best D (probably Zboril/Roy/Kylington/Carlo).

Agreed. I thought Liger was actually arguing and insulting himself until I looked closer. I must thank Wildcard for absolutely ensuring nobody would have an avatar similar to mine.
