I love the outlook and very early on he looks like he may be a bit of a steal in relation to where he was drafted? Skating he appears to be ready but with all players (especially those outside of the top 10 overall) they have a ton to work on their game. Some may disagree but he reminds me a little bit of Mark Pysyk but still needs time to develop. No sense rushing him in any way, especially when we will require several guys to clear waivers. Let this guy play another year of junior and then a year in the AHL and we may have a nice second pairing guy. Edit - Unfortunately due to the NHL/CHL agreement, Guhle actually has to play 2 more seasons in junior before he is AHL eligible.

Also, the point on Guhle, I think there's almost no chance he makes the team (don't want to go down the zero chance conversation again). As has been pointed, three guys would have to get waived, plus I would really think McCabe gets a crack before Guhle if a youngin is going to make the top 6.

Christ I would hope so. I didn't enjoy cheering for my team to be embarrassed for two straight years. He had better be the real deal, but it is very comforting seeing him live up to expectations so so early in his career. As someone mentioned, last year I was watching Reinhart hoping he would make a good, smart play. Jack shows it almost everytime he hits the ice. Also, that's not suppose to be a shot at Sam, I know he will be fine.

Keenan Allen for Danny Woodhead? I take the opposite stance on Gordon and don't think he's looked good at all. Meanwhile, Woodhead catches much more passes and gets all the goal line work. Especially since you have Gordon, if he goes down Woodhead could be a top 10 RB.

It's probably nothing but interesting they label Johan Larsson as a LW instead of C. If they want him playing third line minutes rather than stuck on the 4th line that is the way it will have to go.

I'm not arguing Baptiste or Bailey will make the team, because they won't. But Baptiste was playing top line minutes with McDavid in Erie last season. I'm also pretty sure Bailey was on the top line in SSM once he was traded there.

This sounds right and that's why this is a darkhorse prediction. But keep in mind our D includes Bogo, Gorges, Colo and Franson which are all players who have a high risk of injury. Either way I think we will see plenty of McCabe this season.
