To me, trading his hot goalie was a tank related move. Then his backup gets hot? Yep, let's trade his ass too. Loved the moves, but they were 100% tanking moves. Don't give me the trading expiring contracts excuse either, what did we end up with, a conditional 3rd round pick or two? -

I'm the exact opposite. We all figure this team is going to be really good in the not too distant future. Jack Eichel is a star in the making and we are just experiencing this for the first time. This season is going to be so much fun, even if we continue to win only 1 every 3 games (although I think the wins will be coming soon). I don't feel the pressure as a fan to have my team win and I can just enjoy good hockey for a change. In a years time we're really going to start wanting wins and overanalyzing losses. Especially coming off of how stressful how last season was, I'm in no hurray for the year to pass by.

Great post. There's some upset in the Zadorov/ROR trade thread that points out the 'redundancy' of bringing in another centre. It was an excellent move by GMTM. Jack Eichel is the future of this franchise and by insulating him with solid leadership and having the ability to shelter him where necessary, this will lead to strong development for him and all of our young guys which will still be promoted to the big club in the coming years.

Interesting point. I'm glad management came to their senses early on about McCabe. I'm not saying he's a world beater at this point in his career but even with 10 NHL games of experience he's the second best left handed Dman in our organization today. This is his fourth season post draft and although there will be mistakes along the way this guy is ready for the show. I say keep Weber out as the 7th man until injury hits and you roll with Georges, McCabe and move someone over to LHD as your top 3 on the left side. I don't need Donovan (although I see he was waived today), Colo or even Weber in front of this guy on our depth chart.

Unreal post. My wife cares much less about the Sabres than I but I had her watch jacks goal and then read this post. She's starting to get the hype and my excitement to watch the games with my boys in another year or two.

Don't want to be that guy but this is what I've been calling for. Even when bogo comes back I hope he keeps a spot. Sure doesn't hurt he's a lefty either.

I haven't been able to sign into game centre either. I have Rogers and centre ice pack so it's suppose to be free. I was on the phone with Rogers tech people for an hour and a half on Friday and at the end they discovered there was a problem with the app on their end and said it should be fixed in 24 to 48 hours. Still isn't fixed for me....

I think it's a fair trade too. Right now I'm paying for potential with a guy (Fitz) that's the second best wide receiver in football through a month of the season. But if my wideouts can give me anything I should be good to go with a foundation of Bell and Lacy as my starting backs.

Nice thing to have this year. Should be a fun season at the very least.
