:w00t: I laughed out loud.

Good....gooooooood..... Sure do man. With your descriptive details that go into the 'what are you eating or drinking' thread, this is pretty close to the guy I envision settling in near your smoker with a beverage containing your home grown peppers. Just seems to fit the description. Neo on the other hand I envisioned as a huge burley Russian dude with facial hair similar to assquatch.

After being a part of this board for the last decade this is so weird actually seeing what you look like. I think weave was the only one I ever came close to right on in my mind.
-
This. Not slagging at all. Kane seems to be able to generate chances regardless of wingers.
-
This is more along my thinking as well. I love Kane's game, I really do. But I can see why he was playing on the third line for the Jets. He does his own thing out there and is capable of doing it but I think Eichel could be generating more with another winger.
-
Still waiting to try Eichel and Kane on separate lines for a couple of games. But I loved the top line last game so not sure that's going to work right now.

I'm already regretting trading for Lacy. Not looking good.....

Ya baby!!

I don't recall that play and I'd be disappointed if it should have been addressed and wasn't. But IMO, the Reinhart play last night did not warrant anything else. I guess we're going to have to end on an agree to disagree on this one. I am with you that I don't want it becoming a trend that the Sabres won't stick up for each other though. That I certainly can get on board with. I just don't fault ROR for the play last night.
-
Again, the Torres hit wasn't at all similar to last night.
-
Oh come on man, that was a hit from behind, when the puck was nowhere near him and if that's what happened to Reinhart then I would hope ROR (or anyone would jump in). Totally different situations. Edit - After watching again, was that a slue foot?
-
Agree with it all. He will find out that may be the first but it won't be the last time he takes a bit of a shot hacking at a goalie at the whistle. He has to keep that up. Again, I just didn't see too much that warranted a teammate to jump in based on that play.
-
True. I was just actually trying to look up how many roughing penalties Towes has but couldn't find anything. I'm not sure I want him jumping in after every whistle if I'm a Hawks fan.
-
I didn't think it was from behind. Reinhart was whacking for the puck at/slightly after the whistle and that type of play happens all of the time. There was no penalty call (nor should there have been). I just think most guys don't actually fall down.
-
Hahahhaa, well I would have liked to seen a response as well but I'm not going to micro analyze every minor mistake. It wasn't like the Lucic / Miller stick swinging incident here.
-
I'm asking ROR to be an overall leader on and off the ice, not a tough guy. Frankly, I think Reinhart needs to get knocked on his ass a few times. From several reports he's been the first guy on the ice and last guy off. Every. Single. Day. And guys like Reinhart are also practicing with him. I don't need ROR around to jump into fights after the whistle based on a clean play by a Panthers Dman.

I have absolutely no doubt that McCabe will be a top 4 LHD within a year or two.
-
That's fair. We've already debated where we both think the cap is going and what a 7.5 mil player will be worth in 4 or 5 years so no sense rehashing it. It's not his faceoff ability I love. it's the leadership and all around gameplay.

Haven't checked this thread in a couple weeks. Great news man. After reading all the house trouble, it's nice it's finally unloaded off of your plate. Good luck in Denver!
-
Here I thought we finally had you converted :P I don't get how anyone can say in x years time we will have x player to supplement him. You know what winning teams all have? Depth. They have top line guys playing on 2/3 lines. The original anti-ROR discussion was we don't need ROR because we have him already in Girgs. I said it before and I'll say it again, in three years time when were in the Eastern Conference Finals and it's Game 6, your going to be dying to get as many players similar to ROR/Girgs on your team as possible.
-
Bookmarked. Thanks for that.
-
I would like to see that. Unfortunately it may take a top 6 injury for that to come into play but Reinhart impressed me last night. I'm seeing him with a bit more confidence and holding the puck a little bit longer. As liger points out, I think he will be fine and would love to see him get a few shifts with some skill.
-
I can agree with this. But that's part of the reason I don't want him playing with our Phenom who has unreal hockey IQ. I love Kane's skill, I'm not saying I want him off the team, but I don't want Jack playing with him.
-
I am coming around to TB thinking. I cannot stand Kane and Eichel playing together. Kane is the biggest puck hog I've ever seen. He's got the skills to pull it off but I'd rather he be doing it on a line sans Eichel. Something is just not clicking between those guys and it's likely because they play similar styles. Disco seems to be mixing up everybody and their grandmother on lines but has those two stapled together. Let's just give it a try there Dan!

:w00t: This is excellent.
