After all of the that took place in Paris. It meant a lot knowing there are people out there willing to lend a hand to a total stranger in need.

Done and done. -
I put this in the last GDT but as Woods says, it also belongs over here. I took the family down to the game on Saturday. We spent part of the day shopping and having lunch at the Walden Galleria. When we came back out to the car, one of the interior lights had been left on and our car wouldn't start. Someone was waiting for us to leave our parking spot so I let them know the battery was dead and I wouldn't be able to move it until AAA or another tow truck got there. Well the guy gets out of the car with his two teenaged sons and pushed us out of the spot and brought out jumper cables to try and give us a boost. Didn't work. After trying for probably 20 minutes they pushed us to an area out of traffic that was safer. Security then came over to see what the problem was and called AAA for us. In the meantime, they brought over a battery pack with jumper cables and was able to get the car started for us. It's doubtful the guy that tried helping us frequents this forum but he was wearing a Sabres hat so wanted to give him a shout out and acknowledge the type of people we encounter on most trips to Buffalo. Good on the good Samaritan looking to help out a stressed out dad with two crying kids in the back! They didn't have to take out 30+ minutes of their day but it was greatly appreciated.

Late to the party here. Didn't know where to put it so thought I'd add my story here. As for the game, pretty boring in the first but got much better as the game moved along. What a shot by ROR on the tying goal. -
He has. Only good thing is I also have Starks so if Lacy is gonna be then I'd rather them just bench Lacy rather than go into the dreaded timeshare.

Not over yet. Trying to seek some revenge from you fleecing me in that trade!

This will be my gameplan as well. Let's Go Buffalo(s)!!

After 15 games, who is the most surprising Sabre?
Derrico replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Aud Club
Most surprising I would have to go with Georges and Franson. The D is pretty far better than I expected and that's mainly because of these two. I believed in the two rooks (can you still call Pysyk a rook?) but did not expect the level of play from these two vets. When Bogo comes back, our D will be....dare I say good? -
I honestly have no idea what tiebreakers are lol. Whatever the default is. I promise next year will be points for. I'd be winning all tie breakers if I just made that change!

Hank buddy, after destroying you in Fantasy Hockey this week, I have a great Monday nighter by Woodhead to steal the win in Fantasy Football :P

I'm not going to get into the new thread worthiness of things but I do appreciate you posting the practice lines as they do give some good insight. Please keep doing so.

A little late to the party here but welcome MODO. Please stick around often and discuss hockey with us

Here Here. I love the system's Bylsma seems to be implementing but hate the line combos and minutes given to certain guys. Weber's two penalties were dumb last night but the real thing that bothered me is what is Weber doing on the ice with less than 10 minutes (less than 5 on 2nd penalty) to go in the game?!?!

Ahhhhhhh another Friday. Where is Rebecca Black when you need her?
-
I donno. I'm not one to enjoy going too far ot, but it's some of the ot stuff that makes this board this board.

Do we really want a new thread for 'here's a picture of Jack Eichel in a tank/army gear?' No. But I enjoyed viewing that stuff in the Jack Eichel thread. I support most Mods decisions but I don't know why we can't have an all encompassing 'Player X thread.' If there is big news on the player then we can start a new thread on it at that point.

You can thank your last place in the standings on that one.

Slipped through the cracks. I would have preferred points scored as the first tie breaker but that wasn't pushed as one of the rule changes. Looks like we will have to implement this for next season and h2h is first tie breaker. What do u have to worry about tb??

On fire lately.

When the trade was made they had him pegged for the top line (seriously). Early in the year they said he still has a bunch of potential. Lately I think they have him pegged for 4th line C duty. One even said he's going to be a good 4th liner in this league. As they should be, they are in love with Zad and recognize he is the key piece to that trade. FYI I don't lurk there often. I threw that out there for chz :flirt:

After reading some Colorado message boards it looks like the nickname they used for ROR was 'radar.' Also, for Grigorenko we used Grigo, Grigs and Oreo. They seem to be going with Greg.

But when you factor in the exchange rate......

It's on Sunday nights at 9pm.

Maybe I'm drinking too much of the cool-aide, but that doesn't seem half bad. Playoff worthy? Not sure, but with maybe one key upgrade for Franson or Gorges and a year or two of full time NHL duty for Pysyk/McCabe and that may be a decent D-core in a couple of years.
