Thanks. Also, please keep up the good work with relaying tweets and other relevant info. I don't follow much on twitter and it's good info. Appreciated.

Maybe that's it then. Hit the leg extension machine for a couple weeks and then be ready to go. Thanks, it's been a long time since I've been running for exercise.

Thanks for that info.

McCabe ok to go tomorrow?

I'll second this. As mentioned, I'm usually in the pool for cardio workouts. Just started to add running to my workout regime as well and holy my knees are feeling it.

I think I'm actually going to go the once a week rule. Also, those aren't my problems Josie as I make sure I weigh first thing in the morning and near commando hahahaha.

I had a wake up call a couple of years ago about my blood pressure. Have been swimming 3 times a week ever since and it's really helped bring it back down to closer to normal range. Still a bit overweight though and this year I've finally got the motivation to really do something about it. But I'm learning not to read the scales every morning. Yesterday I went for a half hour swim on my lunch and then a 4 km run at night. During the day I had one piece of toast and an apple for breakfast, a salad for lunch, cottage cheese and blueberries for a snack and then some chicken and whole wheat pasta for dinner. Checked the scales this morning and it read back the same number as yesterday morning. So disheartening. Just got to keep at it I guess.

No. But I think we do have to start thinking about their contracts. I'm willing to pay Staal that kind of money today but that contract is far too long for my liking.

Great list. I would add Nylander on that list as well. Apparently he is ahead of where is brother was a couple of years ago at his age and he's already ripping up the AHL as a rookie in that league. It seems like there is no Crosby/McDavid in this draft but it's got a great headliner in Mathews and it's pretty deep. The top 10 picks look to be real difference makers. And I'm an idiot and see you added Nylander

Trade Suggestion: Johansen Traded to Preds for Seth Jones

I'm not cheering for losses and it's important for this team to start winning. But , that top 6 looks.....unreal if that's what we had going forward. -

Buffalo will never get that lucky. I would sign up for 3rd overall. After watching those Fins in the WJC, holy :censored: those two prospects look good. -

This. I think Fasching has the best shot of being a top 6 winger. Right now we don't have any surefire top 6 forwards or top 4 d in the system. That's obviously due to the recent promotion of Reinhart, Eichel, McCabe and Pysyk. We've got a very good young core but they've all graduated to the big club. Our answer for immediate help (as in next year) is not in our system today. Maybe it ends up being Puljujarvi in a few months  -
I'm guessing it's a play off of Reindhart.

Didn't want as much of the tourney as I would have liked and haven't seen a second of the US. What is Will Borgen's game? From previous write-ups sounds like he's a good puck moving d-man, similar to Pysyk?

I think Hoss was just pointing out we're in 29th place in terms of next years draft. Ofcourse it's facetious to call this Tank 3.0 but we're far enough down the standings that it doesn't hurt someone updating where we are from the bottom. I'm not rooting for losses (as I'm sure no one is) but Hoss mentioning we're in 29th is not showing how impatient he is or criticizing the rebuild IMO.
-
My thoughts as well. I think Fasching is maybe a year ahead of Bailey/Baptiste. I won't be shocked at all if we see him in the Blue and Gold for a couple of games in March/April.

I haven't caught any of the game today but the Swiss looked damn good defensively yesterday and this score really surprised me when I went to check. You could tell that the Swiss probably wouldn't have the horses to come back if they got down a couple early but because they scored twice to start the game against Canada they just played Devils style hockey the rest of the way and held on for dear life. Reminded me of the Olympic game Canada played against Latvia except the Canadians weathered the storm that day because they didn't get down early.

Happy New Year to all of those out there in our corner of the internet. May 2016 be healthy and prosperous. For us, we're taking the kids to the local community centre for a magic show, followed by swimming and jumping castles. There's a kids countdown at 9pm. Then once in bed, the adults can bust out some of the good stuff for the real countdown

My kid has been watching Frozen all week and now me humming this at work is pretty embarrassing. Very nice.
