  1. I might consider the deal TBG threw out there. I just don't trust the D in the draft. Maybe it's all the nitpicking that happens before the draft. Ofcourse we need D more then F but unless the D we actually take can turn into a top 2 player in a couple of years I'd rather find my D elsewhere. Also no thanks to Edmonton's Reinhart. Guy has now played 4 post draft seasons and still can't crack Edmonton's horrendous lineup. Not to mention I've heard Sam and Jack have built a pretty tight relationship. I don't want the potential for 3's a crowd to pop up between them.
  2. Yep. For the Sabres sake it would be a huge boost if he's back healthy. For his own sake I almost hope he retires. Scary stuff for sure.
  3. Mhm. But until then...Let's Go Buffalo. Gonna be a fun year.
  4. With McDavid on our side, I just don't see that happening.....
  5. I'll give you credit, you've never waivered from this. Seeing as he's going to the leafs I hope your right. Don't think you are, but hope so.
  6. This. It's the 1.75L variety. 120 ounces equates to 80 shots of whisky. Divide that over 3 days and I may not make it back if I drink that much.....Maybe I'll stick with one bottle and get a high end Port as a nightcap.
  7. High standards
  8. Thanks for this, I enjoyed the thorough write-up. So many rankings have vastly different projections outside of the top 5 or 6 picks. When TM was hired a big reason was due to his scouting ability. The last 2 drafts were almost automatic picks. This year is where TM can really prove his scouting worth in the first round.
  9. Long Weeeeeeekend!!!!!!! Started work early so I can get out by 4 o'clock to go camping. We've got 12 of us going. Stopping off at the liquor store on my lunch and trying to figure out if I should buy one 60 ounce of whisky or 2? Better go 2 if it's 3 nights of siting by the fire, eating BBQ food, biking and playing ball....
  10. Hoss left?? What happened there? Edit - Looks like he hasn't been active in nearly 2 months. Especially active posters, what could possibly happen that would drive them away for good? I'm obviously not very observant if he's been gone for 2 months and I'm just realizing now.
  11. Ya that's probably a bit low. I think Pysyk would have to be in there somewhere.
  12. Common sense and reports out of Edmonton are that they would like to trade down in the draft. Obviously they have a huge need at D and taking one of the D at that pick is likely a reach. Any interest in the Sabres trading up from 8 to 4 if the cost is say a 2nd and 3rd? How much better would TM value Dubois/Tkchuck vs. Chychurn/Juolevi/Nylander?
  13. I can't wait to see this analysis. Good work rakish.
  14. This.
  15. The coach that got eaten up by my Gennies in the Memorial Cup Finals. Ok, it did go to overtime.....
  16. :w00t: :flirt:
  17. I'm seriously sold on Keller. He would likely be a bigger risk then most other guys that will be available but he probably has the highest ceiling. I know it seems silly throwing out a name like Pat Kane but Kane is similar in size and this guy has unbelievable skill. His ceiling could be up near that ilk. I'm to the point where I'm going to be disappointed if he goes before 8 or if he's available and we don't take him.
  18. The size is what would make it surprising if it's the pick. But....gmtm seems to really value hockey iq and this guy has it in spades. Watching a lot of his highlights and this guy is Sam Reinhart smart. Only an inch shorter than Marner and very similar type whom went 4th overall last year. He's also one of the younger players in the draft so there's a chance he even grows another inch. I get the competition he's playing against isn't the best of the best but he's putting up video game numbers.
  19. it Clayton Keller is my pick. The d have too many questions. This kid could be a grand slam.
  20. I've been cheering for the Pens this playoffs solely because the leafs own their first round pick and I want it to be as low as possible
  21. In my uncles living room jumping up and down.
  22. Ya I've never really considered him but the more I read the more I would get excited about that pick. Murray has always preached BPA at the draft so I feel good about that. If he thinks the Dmen available at our pick can become top pairing guys to play with Risto then I'll feel great about taking a D. But the forwards in this draft seem deep and very skilled. I would hate to see us take a Zach Bogosian with so many high end forward prospects on the board just because our weakness today is on D.
  23. Below is a great write up on Keller. To be honest I've just kind of ignored him due to his smaller size and therefore thinking TM won't take him. Sounds like an unreal talent. But after the Ennis head injuries I would worry about a guy this small making it in the league. http://www.allaboutthejersey.com/2016/5/9/11635216/small-point-machine-clayton-keller-2016-nhl-draft-prospect-profile
  24. I believe it begins tonight. I'm taking Blues and Penguins (I know, going out on a limb right?) Edit: Game 1 of East goes tonight. Game 1 of west goes down on Sunday.
