  1. Damn..... Oh TM, never change.
  2. We taking bets here? I'm going with Team Gray wins.
  3. Replace Kane (who probably has very little trade value right now) with Girgensons and I agree with you.
  4. Sounds like bag skate day today. Hopefully they take it a bit easier tomorrow so they're good to go on Saturday. If they're charging an arm and a leg for this scrimmage, atleast don't have the guys worn out for it.
  5. My coworker has been suffering panic attacks for a few months now due to family and some job stresses. Her doctor finally said you need to take a leave from work and shut it down for awhile. She's gone for the next 6 weeks. It's a unionized government job so that's an option. I'm guessing you can't just 'shut it down' for 6 weeks. Sorry to hear, she's been a different person entirely over the past 6 months while having these panic attacks. My complaint: now I have to cover mine and her job for the next month and a half. Guess I'm not taking many summer holidays.....
  6. Oh man I can just imagine. Guys like Pegula with the bucks they have. No expense spared I would hazard to guess.
  7. Give me a sec.... They ran out of Grey Goose. Now they will have to dip into the single malt scotch supply.
  8. This is probably fair but the most I would want to go up to. Don't the bridge, shorter term deal usually cost less per year since it's all RFA years?
  9. Based on some solid comps I think his market value is about 6 years at $5.25. So that works out to $31.5 over the life of the deal. If he were to sign at 8 years $7 mil then that works out to $56 mil over the life of the deal. So we're paying essentially $12.25 mil per year for the last two years. If we go 8 years at $6 mil per then it would be similar to 6 years at $5.25 and the last two at $8 mil per which seems very fair to me. After running this exercise I wouldn't really want to go higher then $6 mil per on an 8 year deal....
  10. Okposo on Vesey "I would tell him we're gonna be a good team for a long time...We're gonna be contenders" For those feeling stockerish today: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/XSR340/history/20160707/1440Z/KBUF/KBOS
  11. Vogl "Shipping up to Boston: Another executive charter departed Buffalo at 11:01 a.m. with arrival at Logan Airport scheduled for 12:06 p.m."
  12. It's on boys and girls. It's on. Let's hope TM, DD and TP have brought their A game. http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-Murray-and-Bylsma-leave-for-Boston/22804074
  13. I do agree with the 8 years but wouldn't want to go near $7 mil per. I would do 8 years @ $6 mil. His market seems pretty defined at around 6 years at $5 to $5.5. So I wouldn't want to go an extra $1 to $1.5 mil every year of the deal to get two additional UFA years locked up.
  14. I agree. Would rather go 8 years to lock him up. Standard out there seems to be 6 though based on similar deals this summer.
  15. Interesting idea. That could be the case. For the security footage leak the Sabres seemed to be blaming a security guard for it. But the aftermath leak of the Sabres being furious and Black's departure soon thereafter does give some thought. The NHL.com article on the Sabrespace main page confirms Murray will be meeting with Vessey in Boston today. From what's been out there, I believe the first conversation may have been just over the phone. I believe this is the first face to face. Unless someone has something I've missed?
  16. After the way the Babcock fiasco went with leaked security footage, this doesn't surprise me at all.
  17. I realize these things take time but I'm hoping this negotiation doesn't drag out too much longer. What are we thinking? 6 year deal? 8 year deal? Bridge?
  18. So......looks like Linus won't be attending camp due to illness. Hope he is alright. Ofcourse they have Nylander wearing a weird number (75). Here's a link to roster and numbers. http://sabres.nhl.com/v2/ext/2016-17%20Season/Development%20Camp/20160706-DevelopmentCamp-Roster.pdf
  19. I do understand that. But no Jack or Sam this year. I think if they stuck with the flat $10 they would have been fine. It's the increase to $20 and, more aggravating then anything, the service charges that have me kind of pissed off. I know, I could have chose not to buy. Edit - Does anyone know the seating capacity in there? I read online it's 1,800. I guess if it's that small of a venue they figure they will still sell out even at those prices. Damn Justin Bieber....
  20. I agree with this but also agree with Hoss point. No need to rush him at all. But he did have a year in junior after his draft year. Does he need more time? If in doubt I would err on the side of caution and send him back. Especially since the big club has enough talent we don't 'need' these guys right away. But....If he comes to camp and is clearly superior to a guy like Gorges then maybe he is ready.
  21. This is probably what is going to happen unless he has an amazing camp and 9 game tryout.
  22. Ya it's very doubtful he makes it and can't go to Rochester. So he will probably be send back to juniors again. Only guy I could see him beating is Gorges. That would push Gorges to 7th man. Honestly not sure what's better for development. Another year in juniors which he's already played 3 full seasons and played well or sheltered 3rd pairing NHL minutes. Up to the kid.
  23. Man I forgot how smart Sam is. Is it October yet?
  24. These jokes never get old. Well played gentlemen..... I remember the deal between Oshawa and London to acquire McCarron and Mermis. Cliff Pu was the centerpiece of the trade going back to London. Saw him a couple of times live but didn't notice him much. That was his first few games ever in the OHL so won't put much stock in first observations. He sure didn't put up many points thus far in the OHL but hopefully that's a result of him playing second fiddle to the stars. This will be a big year for his development and hoping he can jump to atleast a point per game being on a top line with Knights this year. London is always a great spot to be development wise.
  25. Interesting. I think I would like to see him more with ROR anyways. Let's just hope DD doesn't spend 30 games figuring out the lines again this year.
