No, they haven't been good. But I'm surprised it wasn't much worse last night. Tonight could be a tough one.

I don't think any team has the depth to not see a drop off losing 3 of your top 6. Washington isn't scoring this year like they usually do but holding Ovie and company to 2 regulation goals against (1 even strength) is pretty damn good if you ask me.

Wow there is only one week left in the regular season and 7 of the 12 teams in the league could still end up in last place. Remember, Whiskey is not part of the Avatar bet and whoever comes in last of the remaining 11 teams must change their avatar beginning Tuesday and running until the end of the Sabres season. I trust some of us have photoshop capabilities and any suggested Avatars would be welcomed.

Meh, it's the NHL and we have Eichel back. Sure our D is ultra banged up but I'm not giving us less than a 10% chance of winning this game. If we can beat the Penguins with all of those injuries then we can beat Washington with Eichel back. I'd trade 1 Eichel for 15 Gorges/Feduns.

I like to think of myself as an extremely knowledgeable Sabres fan. I have no clue who this guy is or how we acquired him.

Ugh. Nice win Ink.

Look at Jack's rookie point total vs other superstars. He's up there with some of the best considering the era of goal scoring. Now look at those superstars second year and most broke out. Jack is breaking out. Jack is a superstar. This after a 2 month layoff and you know he's not 100%. I'm 31 and he's the best hockey player I've ever seen live who is a Sabre. Wish I was around for the Perrault days to compare the two. -
What else am I missing hahahaha

Still don't know how to embed videos but it has to be the Carolina OT goal.

Just bought my tickets for Oshawa against London on January 29th. Can't wait to see him live!

It was set as the default (not sure the exact date) but the deadline has passed. Edit - Looks like the deadline was Friday November 25th.

Lock this thread up and bury with the Carrion thread.

Sorry Ink. My mission is to destroy your team this week and you may sink to the basement as of Monday night.

I'll try and watch closer tonight but it's going to be tough taking my eyes off Jack.

Looking forward to seeing Jack. But may be more excited to see if we can get last year's Reinhart back now.- 775 replies

I thought he looked pretty good. His ability to strip the puck and create turnovers is a thing of beauty.

I like the idea of Jack on the PK. Threat of a shorty looms large.- 775 replies

Didn't DD say yesterday that Kulikov was week-to-week? Maybe I misread that.

I'm not sure. I also don't entirely agree with this rule. I would like to see it changed whereas rather than having to play 4 full years in junior they can only play 3. That way post draft year they would still have to play in the CHL but then there's the potential to move on after that. Or each team is allotted one exception to the rule.

Feels like the eve of the regular season again.....

Bailey scored at 0.85 pts/game his post draft year. Baptiste scored at 1.37 pts/game his post draft year. Pu is at a pace of 1.83 pts/game his post draft year.

The rule is to protect the OHL (really the entire CHL for that matter). The CHL is one of the best developmental leagues and the rule is in place to keep the league competitive. Otherwise every team would sent their best prospects to the AHL. I don't love the rule and I think there should be some exceptions but that is why it is in place.
