  1. He's a 6th round pick. We're comparing his stats to a bust of a pick. Why do I keep seeing this guys name show up??
  2. Our current d are huge....and terrible. I'm a more than excited to get a puck mover. Could he make our league best pp even better?
  3. My bad. I thought I heard 27th for some reason. :w00t:
  4. I thought he was coming in on Saturday?
  5. I think I agree with this. I know JBots has preached the farm system and letting guys develop. However, Pittsburgh has made exceptions in the past Kris Letang was a 3rd round pick and played a total of 11 games for Wilkes-Barre Scranton. Kris was drafted in 2005 and then promptly played 2 full seasons in junior (same as Guhle) When his team was eliminated from the playoffs in the second year he also played 7 games for the Pens and 1 in the AHL (Guhle also played a couple games for the Sabres and in AHL in his second year) Then Kris started and played 10 games in the AHL and was called up and played the rest of the season for the Pens. He was never send down again thereafter. I could see Guhle starting the season in Roch but also wouldn't be surprised if it's for a month or two and then he's up for good. Kid looks like he's as smooth as they come. I think he's going to be a good one.
  6. I don't think there are any complaints just some who say to pump the brakes a bit on expectations.
  7. I know he was hurt again but for 8.5 per and his ability I would sign up for that deal.
  8. Well then sign already!!!!
  9. Seems like yesterday the Sabres strength was young Dmen (McNabb, Myers, McCabe, Brennan, Schiestel). The need was high end centremen. Wasn't it just 3 or 4 years ago we heard Darcy say the Sabres had 3 of the top 50 centremen in the league or something crazy? It was obvious to everyone but him the real weakness on the team. Will any of the drafted D be ready to help next year? Even the year after? Who knows what needs the team has in 3 or 4 years time. B.P.A.
  10. So, I'm catching up on draft analysis. Are we looking at 3 D that are all worthy of going 8th overall? If so, and they are all gone, I want the next best forward or trade down. Seems obvious but I could see many crying that we took yet another forward at 8.
  11. This. I'm done with the Kulikov experiment. Let's hope Asplund turns into something to save that trade.
  12. I would hope so. He was a train wreck for 80% of the season.
  13. You two can both go yourselves. Legendary.
  14. Sometimes those are the best hires.
  15. :w00t: I literally spit my chicken on my monitor. Well played.
  16. Holy Christ. This is all I need to read to know this is a good hire
  17. This isn't an accomplishment. We had scorched the earth. Traded almost every breathing asset for draft picks to get near the bottom. Ofcourse he made every 1st and 2nd round pick because we had like 6 of each every year. He still traded a bunch of those away. For the record I'm a big supporter of the trades Murray made but I'm not giving him credit for having a 1st and 2nd round pick to make the years he was here.
  18. I would for sure be interested. As others have said, a Saturday game would definitely be best.
  19. Looks like we're waiting a couple more days.
  20. Anaheim didn't have much of a great blue line yesterday.
  21. ???
  22. I knew it! I knew you would cave..... :w00t:
