I agree with you, but I think KA has a player’s GM vibe going on and I can’t see him doing this.

I realize that, it just conjures up images of Jack breaking sticks and slamming doors on the ice.

He probably went from thinking he was gonna play in Vegas this season to thinking he’s stuck here still.

Reports of Jack’s camp being frustrated really doesn’t help the whole image thing.

I don’t think culture is overblown at all but I agree not to sell low.

Think if it doesn’t happen today we're really going to be in no man’s land. Meaning we will have no likely idea when it could happen, and it may not even be until next season’s trade deadline.

I definitely respect KA for holding this long, think we all should. Wonder what happens if we can’t move him and both sides are still fighting over the surgery come October?

Tuch is a nice player but it’s not as if he is a PPG player or something. Not even close to that. If they say a player like him is untouchable it really makes you question if we can even really “win” a trade with them at all in the long run of all of this. Then again, I’m not even sure how important NHL ready players are to KA in this.

If these cheap skate GMs don’t want to suffer a bit for Jack and essentially demand to be gifted him, I say we walk. Maybe even offer sheet one of their guys too! Okay now I’m being emotional, but still. This is beyond ridiculous, it’s like they’re trying to fleece KA. I feel like they’re all the NYR at this point.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying don’t pull the trigger on it. I’m just thinking out loud, it could be rough come playoff time. That’s all.

I only care about this team too. But I didn’t like having to hear RORs comments, and I certainly didn’t like seeing him win the cup right after. Many other average Sabres fans probably felt the same way. This would be like that, but even more so because of what we had to suffer through to get him.

Can you imagine Jack in Vegas and going deep into the playoffs next year and maybe even raising the cup? Ugh.

I wouldn’t call Devon Levi and a first round pick nothing for a one year rental on Sam.

He can only take the best of what is offered, or not move him. KA has been seemingly very patient so far, don’t see how we can criticize him already. It’s not as if he’s turning down a better offer.

The Rags would not only have to match what Vegas, Minn or Anaheim could offer (they won’t) they’d have to beat it because they’re in our conference. No way he’s going to NYR.

To be fair McNabb was a high prospect at the time though. We all liked him.

Wonder if this is really the Buffalo ask though? Because if it’s less than this, as in Vegas negotiates down, we’re gonna have an issue.

I had Smith on my fantasy team last season, 25 points was a let down but he may have just had an off year. Last year was weird anyway.

Once Powers is ready, we would have two giants on the blue line with the addition of Hague. Our dcorps would get considerably larger.

Hague would be a nice pick up, that’s one big boy.

Agreed, this is not talked about enough. A strong spine is a must, but a team should be built from back to front IMO.

I feel for you. Got my oldest an Eichel 50th a couple years ago. It’s her first and only jersey. It definitely stings.
