He was really young but his statement/apology didn’t really strike me as remorseful. Seemed like it was interwoven with excuses (he was young etc). Not sure how much his heart has actually changed but that’s just the feel I had reading his statement personally.

Yeah Ralph really sold the city and fan base to him. What’s great is everything he said was and is 100 percent true. It felt so great to see a NHL coach say this to a top free agent and more so, the free agent be receptive to it.

Feel like we learned a few things from it; Hall was open to long term but it was KA/ TP that insisted on short term cause of COVID, Tpegs seems to think that the addition of Hall will catapult us to cup contender, and it was not only RK and Jack but also the fan base and city that attracted him. Olof had 54 GP last season with 42 points. I can see him being a PPG player in two years on either of our top two lines. I think their ceiling is about that same as far as points are concerned. Sam had 50 ipoints in 69 GP last season and the season before had 65 in a full 82 GP. They’re definitely comparable.

Again, there is a difference between what he thinks they WILL do and what he thinks they SHOULD do. One is his inside opinion on the GM, the other is his hockey opinion. This is a weird thing to argue about, not sure why you can’t see the distinction here.

I said he doesn’t think the Sabres will make a change, that’s different than whether he himself thinks they should or not. One is what he thinks the team will do, the other is what he thinks they should do. Two different things.

Is there any such thing as an official Buffalo Sabres DVD that has old classic games on it? Now that we’re on our 51st season you would think that something like this would exist. Certainly would be a great product.

He is great with garbage goals, probably the best at that since Vanek for us.
