I for one think this is refreshing. I remember a few years back when things were rather unbearable here between the political and religious talk. It skewed extremely to one side. Glad the mods are not allowing those two subjects.

What do I mean? My point is self evident; the man has won three Stanley Cups. Three of them. It’s plausible that he would want to play as a Sabre given that he grew up a Sabres fan. Every time I have ever heard of a big name player looking for a team that’s a contender (when already in a contract) it’s because they haven’t gotten a cup yet. Wouldn’t you want to play for the Sabres if you could, or would that not mean anything to you?

I wonder if he is past all of his old habits now; I mean it’s not like he’s in his early 20s anymore. He should be somewhat matured by now no matter what type of temptations are around him. I get your point about cup contenders though. But he has had his fill with that.

I think TP and KA are aware of everything and will do what is needed to keep our franchise player happy. Recent moves, temporary or not, indicate such. Far as our Governor is concerned, Jack is from MA so he is familiar with blue state life. Also, though I probably agree with you politically, we should stick to hockey on here. I hate when this board bickers over politics etc I hear ya. I’m about 40 minutes from the VT border so there are plenty of Bruins fans by me, including my brother. I too will never forget the Lucic incident.

I don’t think Jack will ask to be traded; they are making real substantial changes to the forward group. Really have a feeling he knows what this city is about and will stay loyal. Not to mention, once he tastes Buffalo playoffs atmosphere he will be hooked for sure. Side note: I know I’m supposed to dislike the Leafs more than any team but my biggest rival for us has always been the Bruins, can’t stand them.

Apart from the divisions not being known as someone else noted, we still don't know how many games will be played. Though we could obviously do it from an 82 game projection and prorate it from there.

Obviously I am hoping for a 1/1 start date, but really wish the Winter Classic was still on for that day. Would have been a spectacular way to kick off the season, fans or not. Still, I'll take whatever I can get at this point.

Meh, I’m really not sure. It’s not so much a feeling per say but rather just knowing that it has been fast tracked or whatever you call it. I really just don’t know.

FWIW my wife and father in law are both immunocompromised and people who refuse to wear masks are are the worst IMO.
