Pretty much agree with all of this, particularly coming in 5th and our goaltending not being enough. Honestly, finishing 5th in a division like this is a huge step forward. Terry may think that landing Hall means "we're going for the cup now", but we need better goal tending for that. Either way, this is the best product we have seen since 2011 and for that I am grateful.

I like this move, can’t hurt to take it slow with him. He was a treat to watch in WJC.

NHL Network has the TSN season preview on right now and it’s nice. Very Canadian division focused of course, but still good programming.

Honestly with some of the reports that are out there, stuff which no one on this thread has even mentioned, I think this discussion has been more than charitable towards him.

Dave Ramsey talks about this happening to NFL players often and then coming to him. Finances are more of a behavioral issue than a math problem (unless in poverty that is).

Reports that he may walk away from his SJ contract and declare bankruptcy. He is citing health concerns due to the birth of his child; have no idea what that means. Think the only play he has is bankruptcy, other than buckling down and paying his debts. Though it doesn't sound like he is going to be doing that.

It’s just so messed up that it’s easier and cheaper to follow a team on the opposite side of the country than it is the team in your own market.

This is the type of stuff I would spend my money on before my wife made me do the Dave Ramsey program 😅

Yeah but he finally got a legit (albeit short term stop gap) 2C and landed Hall. Can’t be perfect but he’s done a great job IMO so far. Imagine if he didn’t get Staal? We’d probably be forcing Cozens into it.

RK is getting rolled on social media about this whole Skinner on the 4th line thing. It seems as if people are convinced it is set in stone or something.

With RK playing such a major role in signing Hall, and just as important a role in potentially extending him, that alone gives RK major value in the eyes of ownership IMO.
