Well at least he knows Cozens has his back đ
-
My only fear is that him still being on the team will create some type of media circus, but we will see. If so, at least weâll still be able to wear our Eichel jerseys a bit longer I suppose. Not that I want to now.
-
Theyâre probably interested in him just to increase the price to mess with us. Canât stand them, dislike them even more than the leafs.
-
Itâs possible but I really think things are beyond that at this point. My guess is that Jack will just do his thing and then get traded at the deadline. I canât see him âbuying inâ at this point, and that is not DG fault. Just think itâs beyond that at this point.

If Adams canât get a good haul he should just hold off. The culture will continue to be bad (possibly) and things might get ugly next season but we have to maximize our return. KA isnât going to trade him just to trade him, his job could be riding on how this goes. Maybe not immediately, but two-three years from now it would be the first thing that would be brought up. Having said all that, I do hope a solid and fair trade is made, like now.

Give me Rossi, Kahkonen, and the Foligno boys. Iâd be over the moon. They can keep Boldy and their 2022 1st.
-
The Buffalo Savers. Thatâs what they will call us if we stay at the cap floor đ
-
One of the many reasons I hope itâs Minnesota still, I want Kahkonen.
-
They would definitely need to sweeten it still, but the significant pieces coming back are Krebs and Tuch. It just feels very underwhelming.
-
Would say Krebs, Tuch and a 2022 1st be enough though? How would everyone feel about this?
-
Syracuse guy too, he probably would want to be here long term.
-
The more I think about it, they probably are targeting a FA. They just donât have the pieces for a Jack trade.
-
Bumping this due to Vegas trading MAF. Possible cap space dump for a big move?
-
As expected, ESPNs flagship channel and program SportCenter isnât even mentioning any of the NHL moves, aside from a brief mention on the bottom scrolling ticker in regard to the MAF trade.
-
But contacting someone before trading them, or at least before it is public, is something a GM can control.
-
As competitive as they have been, this isnât a good look for Vegasâ front office. Players notice these types of details. I definitely couldnât picture KA doing someone like that.
-
Wonder what the likelihood of Minnesota including Kahkonen is in a trade, given they didnât protect him in the expansion draft.
-
Iâm going to have ESPN on this afternoon, curious to see if they even cover anything.
-
Found out through Twitter, man thatâs cold.
-
In fairness though Jack doesnât have to be a ROR or Kane level off the ice problem, just being an all star captain who doesnât want to be here and is unhappy is enough to be rather damaging. When the most prominent player on the team is a malcontent (not saying he doesnât have reason to be though), that can be a very destructive force. Weâve probably all seen it on some level or another in our respective work places.
-
Now there are two. These threads are like the sith.
-
Yeah just realized that and edited my comment.
-
This is frustrating, they could have given him to us and weâre not even in their conference. Unless he has a list and our team is on it.
-
Oh please let this be the case, I wanted him even before he went to Vegas and has his revival.
-
I still suspect that it might be because of the effect Jack has on the locker room, but I concede that the theory that you and others have put forth is highly plausible.
