I agree, i'm actually fairly optimistic about the future and I'm pretty pleased with Adams.
-
But hey, we almost finally made the playoffs this season.

2 back surgeries isn't quite the same as a kid home sick 1 day from school. Be serious.
-
Stone had back surgery last May and this January, I would say he was recovering more than resting. I think back surgery is a legitimate reason to have a player on LTR.

Are your feelings hurt?

Nothing failed, just got bored with his manifesto. You really consider that an attack?
-
You got a lot of time on your hands, don't you?
-
And we know this because....?
-
He played every season he was with the team. I know he went through a lot, but he was in the room every year when he built his reputation as a leader.
-
My point was, I'd he's such a strong leader, why the alleged problems in the locker room before? He's getting credit for a good locker room when it's good, but no blame when it's bad.
-
I like KO, but if he was so good in the locker oom, why didn't he do anything about the alleged cancers in the room? I personally think the cancer claim in BS, the whole organization was a large tumor. This is probably an ok signing. Adding too many rookies next season doesn't seem like a good idea. Too much inconsistency. We still need goaltending, that's all I'm concerned with right now.

The Arizona Coyotes Arena Referendum fails to pass

Not having to remove a landfill would also knock a year off the project, which would be a good thing. I hope it happens, but I'm losing faith. -

Would they sell beer at the arena? -

I don't think so. John Y Brown had a strategy to lose fan interest to make the move 'easy'. I don't see a benefit to tanking, it wouldn't change the situation and the management team would likely want to stay with the team after any possible move. And they have a great pipeline of prospects and a ton of draft picks. They're a year or 2 behind the Sabres in their rebuild. -

It was just Tempe voters. I remember the Braves moving, this isn't the same , but it still blows. -

ASU went Div I a few years back. Appeared in the tournament as well. It's a pretty solid program. Lot of European players on the team. -

Tempe is actually a fun city. ASU and the nightlife surrounding it is wild. Lots to do around there. It makes no sense to have voted this down. Also makes no sense to me to have a public vote when it's a private transaction. No govt funding, privately financed. I'm pretty bummed about this. I loved going to games here after many years as a Sabres season ticket holder. I wonder about the impact on the hockey programs here. Youth hockey growth in Phoenix was one of the best in the nation. My boys grew up playing hockey. It was very well organized. Really sucks for hockey fans here and there are plenty of them. It's just been mismanaged from day 1. Wrong place to play, poor ownership, just never got anyone on the same page. We actually outdrew the Sabres and Sens on 2021-22. We just needed about 3000 more per game and probably would have achieved that with the new arena. -
Montour would flourish under Granato. He looked good when Granato took over.
-
Gotta wonder how well things would have gone if we went right with Granato and skipped over RK.

I think Eichel wanted out before the injury, but not 100% certain. Jury still out on whether this was successful or not. Certainly looks promising. Tuch is great, the rest of the players TBD. Vegas obviously did very well.
-
He was mature enough here and his game was very good. Just because he wanted out, who could blame him, doesn't make him immature and he wasn't moping. People make it out that he wasn't a good Sabre and try to make him look bad because he got sick of the organization, but he was an excellent and still hasn't hit his prime yet. It also appears that he was correct about his neck surgery and the Sabres were not.

Not 11 million yet. Dahlin will be close. But it's still big dollar, long term contracts to players that haven't won anything. I don't see a huge difference between the 2 teams in that aspect. Plus, the Leafs are a very solid team overall, they lost to 2 time Stanley cup champs Tampa the preview couple years, lost to last seasons presidents cup team that had their goalie play out of his mind.
-
There is a $4 million dollar difference. Skinner gets $9 million, not 7. Dahlin will get closer to 11 than 7. Still handing out big money , long term contracts to players that haven't won anything yet. You're ok with the Sabres doing what you criticize the Leafs for doing.
-
I'm comparing the concept of paying players big money before they have one anything. Actually, I'm not comparing anything. I'm asking the poster a question.
