  1. The concern here could be that a healthy Eichel makes that conditional pick less valuable, as his team would likely finish higher in the standings. The way things stand now, the only way to get top value is for a healthy Eichel to prove his value with the Sabres before a trade.
  2. Nothing wrong with a player being most concerned about his well being, the team success being right after that.
  3. My meaning is that I wish things worked out and Eichel would stay here, also that any trade we make likely won't help us as much as we need it too.
  4. It's one of the dumbest, especially since the person they are trying to insult would never read anything that is written here. It's dumb for 10 year olds, let alone adults.
  5. Pretty sure there will be multiple teams interested in Eichel that he wouldn't mind going to. If he is healthy and Adams wants to trade him, I really don't see the NMC as a huge issue. He'll be easy to trade if he's back to his normal skill level, and he if really wants to leave, he won't hinder a trade. I hate to agree with you on this, but you are correct. But I still don't see a trade helping us that much and it will probably hurt us.
  6. It's still as vivid for me as it is for you. What a series that was. Luce kicked out of the circle and Ramsay wins the faceoff, right?
  7. Hard to find time to disappear while scoring nearly a point a game in his career. If healthy, he's on the verge of being a superstar, it'll happen soon.
  8. A concert is a 'one time' event. Hockey is 40 nights and not really a novelty. I go to the arena when the Sabres play here, but won't make an effort just to see a game. It's not weird that the majority of people that can afford to regularly attend hockey games live in the areas of higher income and population. Glendale is lower income and fewer people, Scottsdale and areas around have much higher incomes and larger population. It's not complicated.
  9. America west was upgraded recently and is no longer configured to host hockey games, so it's out of the question.
  10. The team just needs to average 2000 more per game and that shouldn't be a big issue if they move to Tempe. That's much closer to where the fans are. I'm thinking the Sabres are the team nobody wants to watch, I'd wager Coyotes will have better actual attendance per game than the Sabres this season. Just build the arena in the right area and they'll be fine. Would you drive an hour+ cross town in rush hour traffic on a Tuesday to see a game?
  11. Local guy just bought the team, can't see him selling. They submitted plans for a sports complex in Tempe. Doesn't sound like someone looking to move.
  12. The Tempe site would also include shops, bars, restaurants, so I would think the city put in some cash too. Should have some answers by year end, but they will need to find a place to play for 2 or 3 years. They really need to stay in Glendale til a new arena is built, nowhere else to play.
  13. Imagine our ranking next season after we have #1 pick again in this coming draft.
  14. Can you list the times that Eichel has denigrated the Sabres organization the last several months? And a frown emoji doesn't count. You may have him confused with the majority of posters on this site or the rest of the fans, writers and hockey pundits of the NHL.
  15. Adams did say shortly after the season ended that Jack never asked to be traded. His agents were obviously pretty vocal about it though.
  16. It's been reported that the team doctors feel surgery is /was necessary, just not the kind Jack wants.
  17. I get it now, you're 6 years old.
  18. Who's John?
  19. That's just 3 months away ,if he has the surgery immediately, fusion is an average of about 6 months for hockey players. I'm thinking they found a trade partner willing to give up the pieces and agreed to Jack's preference on treatment.
  20. The disc replacement surgery is supposed to have him on the ice in 2-3 months, fusion surgery much longer. If the story is accurate, it appears to be disc replacement.
  21. But at some point you have to realize his value is what teams will trade for him. Just like a house, the value is what people pay, no matter how much you think it's worth. A player that is not physically ready to play doesn't have much value.
  22. What I've read recently is that no team has had access to Eichel's medical records. How can any trade take place without that information made available to other teams. Makes no sense to expect a big offer when the other team doesn't know his medical situation?
  23. An agency is likely similar to a law firm. Bill by the hour, the project....
  24. You got us Crozier, you speak from experience.
  25. Call it a tank or not, this team is not designed to win many games this season. Not with the goaltending we have as of today.
