  1. It would be tremendous if Cozens turns out as good as Couture, and they could both be Bills fans. I just don't see any resemblance now.
  2. So next season, expect about 70 points, like Couture had?
  3. Yeah, let's hope. But Cozens really doesn't do much right now. Still very early to judge, but between him and Dahlin, a couple high picks not contributing much right now.
  4. Cozens shouldn't even be in the NHL right now. Couture was a star from his first full season. No comparison.
  5. ESPN+ showed some highlights. Boy, he is really good.
  6. I was as pessimistic as anyone going into the season, but I think you are wrong. Our prospects seem to be off to great starts, Quinn and Peterka seem like top 6 prospects, we'll likely get at least one more with an Eichel trade and Mitts , Cozens and Olofsson might also make it. Goaltending is still probably an issue, but can be addressed next offseason. I'm encouraged by what we are seeing. Plus we finally have a good coach.
  7. In your career in leadership development, have you ever analyzed a situation just from reading newspaper reports and online comments or did you get to know the people involved in order to make a solid assessment of the situation? No offense to you, but this is like people online telling how to raise other people's children while never having met me or my kids. It's all guesswork and speculation. You may have valid points, but you really don't know.
  8. whatever floats your boat.
  9. I think it's pretty clear by the polling options is that 'full' equates to 'long'.
  10. for the little i know about his condition, I would be concerned that he can't have a long and healthy career. I'm a big fan of Eichel, hoped that this could work out and that he stayed, I know it won't and I sort of am ok with the trade now because I worry that he won't ever be 100% of be healthy consistent enough to have the great career he was on track for.
  11. This just what Thorny posted about. Over time, people have convinced themselves to something that they have no knowledge of, but it's convenient and easy to mentally rid themselves of Eichel. We heard the same about ROR to justify trading him and watching him with the Cup and Conn Smythe.
  12. I thought Phoenix was. Carter Hutton was the #1 goalie, and they traded every good player for the future.
  13. They would never know the difference between that and Vegas.
  14. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to give that up to move to Buffalo.
  15. Maybe, I just can't take someone seriously that makes 4 or 5 statements and ends them all with 'hypothetically'.
  16. I'm sure this is how the standings will look in April.
  17. If i read the tweets correctly, it's hypothetically. LOL Sounds like everything is hypothetical, not sure why I think that.
  18. not necessarily to do with this topic, but yes, it is a stupid expression.
  19. I wonder if that is a serious consideration. Quite interesting if it is.
  20. I don't see either side being greedy or evil or anything nefarious. I think Eichel's health is most important to both parties and everything , liability, contract, insurance... falls into place after. But I really think when you're talking surgery of the spinal column, health is by far the highest priority. I actually don't believe their is a ton of animosity involved either, I'm sure Jack is frustrated sitting on the sidelines unable to play, but I think too much of the anger is made up by 339 page threads and reporters speculating on trades for months on end. It's a stalemate where neither side will blink, it's a very serious health issue and tension is expected during discussions.
  21. Thanks, it seems either way, Eichel is at risk. It's pretty scary surgery if any discussion of potential paralysis is involved.
  22. More diplomatically, I would say they have reasonable doubt, but also, why overpay now ? This isn't a bidding war, any team that meets the Sabres asking price will be the first and only team to do so. Not sure that would make sense to do that. This was likely covered somewhere in the previous 337 pages, but how many NHL'ers have had the fusion surgery and how did that play out?
  23. In Colorado's case, they're not willing to risk the money as it's been reported they dropped out after Sabres said no to retaining money. I think that's where any team would be. It goes back to , if the Sabres want the 4 pieces, Eichel needs to be 100% healthy and ready to go.
  24. I would think so. Not a lot of teams, but a team like Colorado or Vegas? definitely.
