  1. Wow. Any word yet on if this has gone viral nationwide? It should.
  2. Thanks for informing me.

Under normal circumstances, like everyone said on here, relegation is for poor performance. However, there are other reasons too, like what happened to Saracens in rugby. https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/51168926

I wasn't aware of that. How does that work? Open tryouts? Does this also mean that they don't have a farm system?

Should the major North American sports leagues (including the NHL) look into the practice of relegation? Your thoughts, please.
  6. Not having to travel all the way back to Buffalo to enjoy a Beef on Weck.
  7. I'm not sure if you said that tongue in cheek, or if you were serious. Either way, it does concern me not that they're going to do this, but that the outside fringe conspiracy theorists will run with this and blow things way out of proportion with their fear mongering apocalyptic mindset. Besides, it's lousy eschatology (if anyone knows all of its intricacies). It's going to be like literally everything else: it can be used either for good or evil. Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.
  8. I hated that glowing puck. It was such a distraction from the rest of the game.
  9. Mixed nuts and Australian licorice.
  10. Not to mention that it's made of pork products, which, if my memory serves me correctly, is forbidden for consumption in Islam.
  11. That was the straw that broke my camel's back a few years ago. It was bad enough that I didn't know how to cope with my besetting sins. But when my wife had her miscarriage after so many years of trying, it sent me into a tailspin. I had already been struggling with a porn addiction off and on, but it went hyperactive. I even started talking to other women online, and definitely not for the right reasons. Other things came along too. Long of it and the short of it was that when my wife found out, she was obviously and rightfully livid. Once she calmed down, she told me to arrange to meet with our pastor if I wanted to save our marriage (which I did). Changes didn't come overnight, but they did. We even wound up renewing our wedding vows - and we're still together after over 22 years of marriage. I hope that if Jeremy reads this, he could take some comfort from a man who lost everything in one day; his 10 children, and all of his possessions. That man was Job.
  12. The perfectly timed joke.
  13. Two things: 1, my wife and I visited a church we'd discussed visiting for months. She had been dreading it just because of some minute issues. We went, and we were highly impressed with it! We will definitely be back. 2, this morning, my wife and I went to run an errand. Mind you, she's an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. So I saw this one car with Virginia tags that had an Auburn Tigers logo on the plates themselves. I said, completely out of the blue, "Too bad conversion therapy has been banned in Virginia." She was quiet, not understanding what I was getting at. Then I said, "Look at that license plate." One second later, she was roaring in laughter.
  14. *Gets paper bag, does not cut out any holes, writes LONGSUFFERING SABRES FAN, puts over head.*
  15. Fixed it for you. On another note, Tim Tebow FINALLY got married!
  16. Thanks for the feedback. As for the Oval Office Club, I don't plan on going there. I had a hand with the psychodrama in the past, and I would prefer not to get involved in that again.
  17. I had a feeling when we had that really hot start at the beginning of the season that we might be missing a couple of pieces that would have made us unstoppable. I definitely agree that goaltending is a serious issue. We also can't seem to get around being snake bitten, which is just the nature of the beast. Obviously, some of us think that there needs to be a shakeup in the FO - with exception to RK. I'm not sure what to think about that. I know that everyone here is getting frustrated that we may be on the outside looking in yet again.
  18. I guess this would be overstating the obvious that OV will be in the HHOF.
  19. I am sorry in advance that this may get political. I was removed from a Christian group on Facebook with no explanation why. I was not told if I violated any rules. Nothing. What I think happened was that there was an OP about President Trump giving more leeway for prayer in public places. My response to what someone else said was that I do not trust him. I said that he is a master manipulator, and he's been doing this for decades. What gets me is that when I asked the admin why I was removed, he refused to answer me. On the other hand, I come over here, get on people's nerves in the past, GET WARNED ABOUT IT, and eventually get a suspension WITH WRITTEN CAUSE. So, as far as I'm concerned, the admins and mods on TAC are more than worth their salt. Lesson learned: avoid mentioning the president as much as possible, even in assumedly "friendly" territory. Admin and mods: if you believe that this post is going to stir up unnecessary and heated arguments, feel free to either edit or remove. I am not here to cause trouble. I want to talk hockey like everyone else, and also sit back and learn.
  20. There certainly was no love lost between Quinn and Rene Robert.
  21. Have a safe trip. I know those roads in between.
  22. I can't speak highly enough of the meds I'm on. They have really helped me to function normally, have a clear mind, and alleviate much of the mental pain and suffering from past events.
  23. Oh, the good old hockey game Is the best game you can name And the best game you can name Is the good old hockey game 99 Cup Finals, Game 6, Dallas at Buffalo Well, Brett Hull's skate was in the crease When he "scored" that No Goal They stole the Cup and took it down To that Big D Texas hole They had their fill with that parade While Sabres fans were filled with rage But that's ok, 'cause Dallas has No Stanley Cups since that day
  24. We all know that he's never going to live that down, but that's as harsh and horrid as a refrigerator magnet I saw a few years ago that said, "Welcome to Illinois, where our governors make our license plates!" (Complete with Blago in a zebra prison suit.) (BTW, that was not meant to be political. Just comparing apples to apples.)
