Exactly. If I feel the need to vent, I'll do it on their official Facebook page. Not here. Not even on the Oval Office page. Edit: I stand corrected. I did vent years ago. I even had something to say about California's Shelter In Place order. I only said that out of concern that trucks might be forced to shut down - only to scale back when others presented information to the contrary.

I didn't read article. However, I did download an app for Jigsaw puzzles. I also have an app for cross stitching.

I'm not trying to read anything into this. I just think it's a coincidence that the topic this month's issue of Tabletalk magazine is about Fear. Granted, it's not just about fear of a pandemic. It deals with Fear on other issues. Nonetheless, it does show hope in the midst of Fear. https://tabletalkmagazine.com/issue/2020/03/fear/

Still, truckers are crossing the border. Not a complaint. Just an observation that needs to no explanation.

I had to go up I-81 North twice this week. I observed a higher than usual amount of license plates from cars, RVs, and campers heading northbound with Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia on them. None of them were heading South. Then, I went up the 390 from the 86. A couple of drivers chatted on the CB and mentioned that crossing the border at the Peace Bridge was a breeze. I was like, "Wow".

Given some of the responses I received over concerns about what California did, it only seems reasonable that the farming industry will carry on as usual.

Thanks. PA and Zamboni also shared their input after I brought it up. See above.

I had no idea that Paul Sr. was your motivation for this!

I hope you're right with regard to the transportation industry. SFAIK, when the President declared a state of emergency, that meant that trucks could be exempted from DOT/HOS rules as long as the vital customer demand was there. I fall under that, but the need for it hasn't been exercised yet.

Thanks. Gonna rant here: that is the stupidest thing he could have done! If I'm not mistaken, this means that trucks can't move, which means no food nor fuel. I really hope I'm wrong on this one, but I fear that this is a disaster in the making.

I'm not being political about Cuomo's comments. TBT, he has no other choice. He has to show a balance between necessary precautions and not letting the people of his state be gripped with fear. IOW, leadership. Link, please?

No, and I hope it never happens. That will be a disaster in and of itself. I saw this on Facebook: It's 2020. The toilet paper rapture has occurred. The rolls have been called up yonder.

I hear ya. A lot of us took earning a paycheck for granted. I feel sorry for those who can't work right now. My SIL and her husband are both teachers in NoVA. I know what they're going through.

No one ever had to worry about cleanliness with that guy. As for finding things to do, my wife is getting an online business started.

Are you watching Monk reruns in the process?
-
YOLO, right?

Catching up on reading when I'm not working. I also plan to listen to sermons and lectures from places like Ligonier Ministries and Answers in Genesis.

Ok, guys. A lot of us are starved for sports, and some of us can't work, shop, or go out to eat for obvious reasons. So, what are you doing to pass the time? Please keep it clean.

I think we all would love to see them put a stop to it. We get it. I do trust that God is in control of all of this, and that He will provide the means for this to end. Having a Veruca Salt mindset over this isn't going to help make matters any better.

I'm really starting to appreciate the balanced reporting and coverage that the AP is dedicating to this crisis.

Hockeybuzz? Seriously? I hope it's not run by "Eklund".

The most irritating part in all of this are the rumors and lies that follow the trail of a pandemic. So I stopped at the Flying J truck stop in Carlisle, PA to heat up lunch. Another trucker comes up to me, starts talking about "this virus bulls***", and then he proceeds to tell me that he heard from another driver that "they're talking about shutting all the trucks down". My skeptical suspicions arose. "Where did he hear that from?! The people need us right now!" He appeared to tacitly agree. Caveat: not being political. Unless we all hear that straight from the powers that be, you will get your food. I'm on my way back from delivering processed chicken to the Wegmans DC in Gates. Addendum: I've been dispatched to reload and go back there.

Unfortunately, there are too many people who latch on to conspiracy theories as if they're 100% truth. I'm with this guy:

At first I thought TLDR. Then it blew up in everybody's faces, which then made me read it. And then that link to the History Channel that posited theories with some highly conspicuous gaps. I have to give Scotty credit: that's one of the tallest tin foil hats I've seen and read. Wow. That was a doozie.
