True. They do. Me and Mrs CC talk a lot about the world far and near - including social media. Having said that, I had her change my PW to something I wouldn't know. I admit that it has been a struggle to be away from it. Now I have a clue of what people go through when they quit smoking, drinking, drugs, etc. And yet, I find myself being pleasantly removed from the drama.

I know what to expect here. What I complained about was something I did not expect from fellow evangelicals on social media, especially since I demanded facts over false narratives.

People might think I'm nuts, but I actually loved the goathead. Then I absolutely hated the blond Howard Cosell toupee that came after that.

Got it. Sorry for the overreaction. I had something on my mind, and I wanted to get it off my chest. And yet, I wound up getting some empathetic posts in return - which said a lot more than the groupthink posts I encountered within my own camp.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. While I said on another thread that we will get back to our former glory days and to be contenders yet again, I don't want to be considered. I don't have nearly the amount of inside hockey knowledge that some of the other guys mentioned do. Having said that, I totally agree with all of the guys mentioned. @Brawndo and @Elevenare at the top of my list - and no disrespect intended toward the other nominees.

I have a greater respect toward the leadership of SS since I took my yearslong break.

Since the Complaint Thursdays thread was locked today, I thought I would share some serious concerns here. Even if it comes across as being "political", I kindly request for the mods and admin to keep it here because I believe that this needs to be available for all to see. Frankly, I am absolutely embarrassed at what has become of American conservative evangelicalism. It has become an irrational political force that only agrees with what it wants to hear - and 86 the facts that infringe on their comfort zone. I find myself standing alone when I demand facts and proof instead of just going along with the crowd on unproven conspiracy theory narratives. I'm not going to say who or what, but I have just about had it with people who claim to be believers and yet perpetuate a humongous lie just because they didn't get their way and they have an extremely myopic perspective about the world as a whole. Having said that, I am seriously considering getting rid of my Facebook account and never going back there. I have a much easier time talking sense on SS with this motley crew on here (I'm saying that in a friendly way, and not derisively) than I do on FB with others who claim to be in the same camp with me.

In other news, Buffalo natives Cannibal Corpse came out with a new album on April 16th.

Wow. It's been painful, to say the least. Lesson learned: stick with this team through thick and thin. We've had good years, and we've had others. We will get back to our former glory someday, someway, somehow. Maybe the day will come when we finally get over the mountain and hoist Lord Stanley's Cup in Niagara Square.

I'm not rigid on this, but I can't disagree with it either. IIRC, this is straight out of the WCF. Somewhat amusing, even if it is 2CV. In fact, it wouldn't bother me if you've gone full blown DaVinci Code over this.

When I got my 2nd Moderna a few weeks ago, the side effects took over 24 hours to hit me. Ugh! That was not fun. Having to throw my winter parka on when it was close to 70 degrees F outside due to a chill attack left my wife wondering if I'd lost my mind. (No, dear. Just a couple of marbles, but you knew that before we tied the knot in 97.)
