  1. Underrated post
  2. If Dan isn't fired, I'm joining you. If nothing else but to piss off my friends that are Red Wing fans. Or maybe I'll watch the Flyers purely based on my hatred of Pittsburgh.
  3. A confident, happy, and well utilized employee performs better and is more productive than one that is not. Just because you're suddenly a pro athlete doesn't mean you cease to be human. Doesn't matter if you're working at McDonalds or in the upper offices of Goldman Sachs, if you love your bosses and your work environment, you will work 10x harder. People invest in bosses that invest and care about them. Watch any interview with DD. He doesn't look like he's emotionally invested in these guys and this team. He might be, but he doesn't convey it at all. How long can you give your all to someone that you feel doesn't honestly give a damn about you? How often could you go to work for someone that uses you wrong and watched you fail over and over in a position that you're not set up for before you go home at night feeling like a failure? That's how a culture of losing sets in. You lose and rather than being inspired and learning from the mistake you retreat into yourself. It takes a special leader to be able to pull you out of that. DD is not that special leader. People don't quit companies, they quit bad bosses. Is there doubt on anyone's mind that this team has quit on DD?
  4. 1)Samson would have never been used on his wing. Honestly I don't see too much of a difference about where we'd be. No one player could carry this team. 2)This is the biggest factor. I think we'd be firmly in the 8th seed position and struggle but ultimately lose game 6/7 of the series. Players are allowed to build long term sustained chemistry and the line up and system is tooled to play to everyone's greatest strengths. 3)With no changes? Same exactly place we are at. The system and roster performance, not injuries are responsible for this debacle. 4)See above 5)Without a doubt. There's no bad decision that DD doesn't like. 6)With all the other BS going on, who cares? One player couldn't make this team win. 7)Simply put, no.
  5. Here's the thing, if DD was a great coach who was winning games that'd be a different story. But when you continually prove your ineptitude as a coach you don't have the good will built up to publicly shame one of your star players for a minor incident.
  6. I think if that was the case we'd have seen that by now. Why would your bosses only give you permission at the end of the season to discipline your team? If you knew for certain that you were coming back next year I think that's when you'd switch gears. Not a few games before the season ends.
  7. I've had it with this clown. I will not renew center ice, buy one item of Sabres gear or wear any until DD is gone. This franchise won't get a single penny from me until they get rid of him. What a disgrace to a franchise I've loved and stuck by ever since I was a child. Can anyone day one positive thing about his tenure as a coach?
  8. Does this read like 'I've lost the respect of the room so now I'm gonna show them who's boss and make them respect me!' to anyone else? Massive overcorrection IMO only comes because you feel like your back is against the wall. This may be the best evidence that DD is about to be fired and he knows it.
  9. I just can't wait for this season to be over. At least with the tank years I looked forward to the off season for the draft. This year, I just want the season to be over because I'm sick of being disappointed by following this team. It's honestly sucking all the joy out of this sport for me to watch this team.
  10. Gallant would be my choice. I could really see him setting up an unleashed physical offense with our up and comers that punishes the opponents night after night both physically and on the score board.
  11. I think Alec Baldwin put it best:"Nice guy? I don't give a s**. Good father? F*** you! Go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here - close!"
  12. That's pretty much what I've been doing. I suffered through watching the tank but I can't stomach watching this team right now. At least the tank had a point. This just feels even more painful to watch.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xZaTSX61ic Just based on the bullheaded arrogance of DD and refusal to accept responsibility
  14. I know this is tongue in cheek, but yes. I think Nolan would've had a better record this year with this roster.
  15. Didn't Gionta call one or two captain's meetings by this point last year? Has he called one this year? If not, could that be an indicator that Gionta and the rest of the team don't think that anything can fix what the issue is?
  16. How long can we as fans keep screaming about it before it happens? Maybe tonight was a good thing. Maybe we're finally seeing DB losing the locker room.
  17. Only Because the poll isn't 'Do you WANT Dan Byslma to be Head Coach next year?'
  18. Is there a single person who thinks Bylsma is the best man for the job at this point? The Only defense I constantly hear is that the team is terrible and that coaches don't matter at the professional level (from my dad whenever we talk hockey). This team will never hoist a cup under Bylsma's stewardship. My guess is that he's let go in the off season.
  19. I know it's only one game but Okposo is everything I hoped Kane could be. An absolute beast of a power forward.
  20. Everything is fine...
  21. As soon as Kulikov, Okposo amd ROR are feeling 100% we'll be fine. Not blow-your-mind-spectacular, but fine. I fully expect ROR and to an extent Samson to rally the team in due time. GMTM doesn't need to do a thing except sit back and evaluate.
  22. GMTM. Always go with the puppet master... All kidding aside though, def ROR right now.
  23. Couldn't have said it better...
