Ray is a very nice guy, I am not a close friend of his but have had many interactions with him at a local establishment, Elmos (Best wings in town!), and he was always polite and friendly. Ray has been a good teammate during his time with the Sabres. Who else would you prefer to face Domi all those years! (Sabres' Players from the 90s). Thank you, Ray for your services all these years! Leave Mitts at center and have Greenway play with Cozens and Peterka, one winger is on his off wing no big deal, and that line would be better defensively to start the year.

Why does everyone keep lumping Mitts and V.O. together. One was on our top line and the other has never really done anything meaningful even when given every opportunity. IMO Mitts only scores goals in garbage time after the game is long decided and will not be a playoff performer. Time to try something else as the Sabres are playing well enough to try and win now, while still developing the younger guys. Kerbs currently is Mitts 2.0 so why not go with him and add someone else into the lineup. Go Sabres!

It seems he is fit to be the Sabres 2C or 3C with defensive responsibilities. He will need to chip in with around 20 goals, and 50 points for the Sabres to be legit playoff contenders. Also what is a top 6 Centre? Top 6 forward on our team or Top 6 Centre across the league?

IMO, Give him the "C" and sign him to a one-year extension now, during camp. If we are not close to making the playoffs and he is not in the top 9ish offensive players you move him at the deadline. Having another year of control and being our captain only increases his value. Trying to get him to sign a one year deal after the season when he is a URFA and team captain only seems more difficult. ps but lets hope we are competing for a playoff spot!!! pps "Playoffs you are talking about the playoffs?" All non-playoff teams play a toilet bowl tournament with draft order determined by who wins is the first pick and so on...so bad teams make moves to win the non playoff draft race and stay competitive all year instead of tanking. problem solved go Sabres

IMO none, Hopefully they sign a legit top D-man with their cap space and bring in a couple of legit wingers with toughness, grit, and skill to create competition. We can just sit back and watch this team develop into a winner!!! Go Sabres!!!!

The Sabres are showing signs of life, grit and fight we have not seen in years!!! ...and it is the young guns doing it... all good signs. Go Sabres, This feels different. In Adams we trust!

Why no love for Fritz? He has played as well as anyone on the team in the last few games. Tuch seems to be a soft Sabre all of a sudden, not the Tuch from the first 15 games or so. Fritz and Samuelsson have played well. They could be a great 5th and 6th D-men pairing for the future core.

A healthy VO as 3rd line winger in the next year or two seems like a good fit on a good Sabres team. He also has no trade value currently.

Bad comparison in my opinion. None of those players match. We are "hopefully" more of a Vegas type team that is deep with good players and depth that will play as a single unit and keep coming at you in waves with no let down. We need this to be the case and be more than the sum of our parts. A little heart would help!!! Go Sabres!!!!

What is with the Mitts love? To me he needs to show he can stay in the lineup and produce consistently...and VO is useless this year...I would sit him, Next year will be different The coach seems to like Skinner, Tage, Tuck so that is line 1. I would have Asplund with Cozens, and Kerbs with Bjork (See if this works for the future Bjork needs to make or break for his chance!) fill in those lines with guys that work well with them...it is more about chemistry they anything The 4th line line should be just that with Murray and Hayden on the the wings and Eakin at center...that is a 4th line in the NHL.
