Great fun game. My nerves are shot. Wish we could win these games 5-3 instead of 6-5 in overtime. Take them any way you can get them at this point.

KA needs to make a move of some kind. Shake things up a bit. I believe defense and UPL are equally the problem. Both need to be better

The last time they had a long break their passing was not good for a couple of games. They seemed out of sink. Sure hope that doesn't happen this time. They need to come out of the gate hot and fast. What is this weird feeling I'm having. It's mid February and I can't wait for their next game. Go Sabres

Want? We need a goalie that can carry the team if need be, if we're going to make deep runs into the playoffs. Also I've been saying this for a while. This isn't my first shot at our goalies. I also gave UPL an out in that I know he's young and he may very well become the goalie we need , but he is definitely not there yet. Because the fact remains UPL has a GA average of 3.26. UPL has made some great saves but at the end of the game they still scored 3 goals against us. The only reason we are sniffing the playoffs is because our offensive players have developed quicker than expected. If we didn't have one of the highest scoring offense in the NHL we would not even be close to a playoff spot. I've said this before as well that if you have to score 4 goals per game you're not going to win a lot of games. Thankfully our offense is able to overcome this quite often. I will not say our goaltending is doing well, when in fact it is not.

I was wondering the same thing. It's not like we were playing poorly.

One thing the shootout brings to light about your goalie is how good he really is. A lot of us on here have been saying we need a goalie upgrade for years now. And others have been saying it's the poor defense that's causing our high ga average. He's got to be able to stop a high percentage of point blank shots. In the shootout the defense is eliminated, therefore leaving just the goalie. UPL went 0-3 last night. I know he's young and hasn't faced many shootouts in his career yet, but it's not a good sign for a goalie to not stop the puck. It's his only job. I keep hearing "well he kept us in the game" or "he gave us a chance to win", but I'm not hearing "he won that game for us". We need a goalie that can win us some games. Not just keep us in them.

The Sabres play more of a wide open game. There's a lot less coaching needed for this. Coach just tells them to "get after it" and away they go. 😀 LETS GO SABRES!!!!

I'm hoping the excitement for Power's goal will carry over and give them a little boost. TNT is commanding so much respect. That's why Power was so open. So even though TNT didn't score, it might not have happened if it had been someone else. So in essence it was a TNT goal. LET'S GO SABRES.

I can't make the drive for this one. Sure wish I could though. I will take one for the team. We are 0-4 at games I've attended. These were all pre covid so there's that. I intend to improve my record going forward. GO SABRES.

I'm still going to harp on goaltending. Generally speaking your not going to win many games when you're opponent scores 4-5 goals on you. UPL has been making good saves and timely ones but the fact is at the end of the game our opponent's have routinely been scoring 4 or more goals on us. I know the lower half of our defense is weak but we wouldn't be "losing leads" with a true number one net minder IMHO. MAF wasn't happy with his game and neither should UPL.Thankfully our offense is high octane. It is fun to watch. But if our offense cools down we'll be in for another loosing streak.

Holding a moment of silence is the appropriate response at this time. I am hoping the Sabres will channel their emotional energy from this incident in a positive way for this game.

Directv is having issues with the buffalo feed in the normal center ice channel slots. It will air on channel 635-1.

I have nhl center ice on drtv. It is giving the caps feed as the only option. Is anyone else seeing that?
