Not sure if this has been mentioned up thread, but I think the Jost, Krebs swap of lines has been a net positive. -

Are the Sabres out of the running for the playoffs?
sabresouth replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Unfortunately we don't have playoff caliber goaltending. Until that is fixed, it's going to be an uphill battle. I know defense can help with goaltending, but I can't even remember the last time one of our many goalies over last season or so far this season has stolen a game for us. Having said that I agree with K-9 it's not over till mathematically eliminated. -
I kinda like this move. Gives Krebs som veteran influence and gives CM and VO a little bit more intensity. It's worth a shot for a couple of games and see how it goes. Maybe they can conjure up some chemistry.

Hence my harping about needing a good goalie for the last two years. That has really been my only complaint with management. I just don't understand why it took them so long to address it. And really this year they just took a flyer on commri. So far it is looking like it will pay off. Hope it continues. -

Great game. Hopefully Comrie's game last night was the rule and not the exception. If so we will be in the hunt for playoff spot. TNT's goal was great. Dahlin has got it figured out. Now if we can get Tuch and Skinner going. The young kid's are holding their own and will improve continually although it will feel agonizingly slower than we like. We want them ready now. But it's fun to watch them grow. -

This was the canes last pre season game. I doubt they were playing their ahl roster. Overall pleased with the play of some of our young players. They will be fun to watch this year -

Also on NHLN... it's about time. I have missed sabres hockey. -
Yeah.... I'm still pretty disappointed that this is the best management could do concerning goaltending this year. Goaltending usually makes or breaks the team. If they lose confidence in the goalies, it's over. You don't necessarily have to have great goaltending but you do have to have good solid goaltending for the playoffs. I just don't think this collection of goalies will be able to do that. Hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I really appreciate a player taking the time to write a letter to fans. I don't remember a player ever doing this before. I will admit I only pay attention to the Sabres and don't remember this happening before. But I really appreciate it when it is heart felt.

Im glad we traded ullmark. He's an ok goalie but I don't think he is Stanley cup contender material. Having said that I know this is his first taste of the playoffs and has some jitters. But we need better.

A great game to finish out the season and give RJ one last victory. To much to say but just a couple of things. Thanks for the memories RJ. Suban was a nice touch. The guys wanted it to much early and were gripping the stick to hard. They finally settled in and pulled out a victory. Only way it could have been better is with a 5-2 victory. Going forward fix goaltending first and foremost. Then upgrade a couple of lower players and next season will truly be fun to watch. They definitely made big strides the last half of the season. Overall I'm a happy sabres fan looking forward to next season.

And they're all gone.

I know this is a Skinner thread and he has definitely helped this team turn around. But I read some where yesterday that with the 37 goals TNT has scored this season he has scored more goals than Jack did in any one season as a sabre. I hope they don't separate them as line mates. They definitely feed off each other.
