Vanek & Pominville are two key pieces of a core that quit on their coach and got Ruff fired. I really have to question what type of presence they have in the locker and question if they are the type of influence you want on younger players.

Sabre Nation resides in a trailer park. Each year a tornado rips through and we are left sorting through the rubble looking for whatever is salvageable.
-
It looked like Neil spun out. If there was any contact it was minimal.

I feel bad for the long suffering Sabre fans. The men and women who have 40+ years invested in this team and will likely go to their grave never experiencing a Stanley Cup winner. I remember when the Red Sox finally won after 80+ years, the stories they would show of fans who were not able to celebrate the Championship with friends or family was heart breaking.

Is it just me, or do this weeks final results not include yesterday's games?

"Worst" can be determined statistically. This does have to be one of the most unlikeable teams in Sabres history. At this point there isn't one player I would consider the Sabres as "having to keep."
-
They can lose them all and I still doubt it will happen. I don't think Pegula can bring himself to fire Ruff and Regier in the same season.

Considering the beatings Scott has been taking, he might have asked for the misconduct.
-
Eleven had the nerve to complain about posters waiting till after the game to post?
-
Dressing him? I can't even justify him being on the roster. He obviously isn't deterring opponents, which makes him useless.
-
So Scott can get his ass beat as bad as Weber? Someone needs to teach Ennis not to turn his back.

Defenseman prospects could use more size/sandpaper

Size doesn't matter if you don't us it. Just look at Tyler Myers. Myers might as well be 5' 10". -
"Hate" seems to be another word for "jealous." Up or down, the Flyers are perennially relevant in the NHL. Giroux, Simmonds, The Schenns, Read and Couturier are all players I would love to have on the Sabres roster.

Not since I worked at the Vatican.

Lindy Ruff, because neither of us are head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. What? Too soon?

I have really enjoyed the physical play that Ennis is bringing to the rink. The kid, despite his stature, is not afraid to get knocked down and a little bloodied. he seems to be willing to make his own room out on the ice. I'm not too worried about the assist total. An assist is a two part equation. If the player receiving the pass doesn't finish than it won't matter if it is Ennis, Crosby or Gretzky making the pass. Put Ennis with Vanek in the early part of the season and the kid would have 20 assists.

Can't wait till this comes out.

Is being around a group of guys who quit on their coach better? We are not talking about the Detroit Red Wings here.

Regier has never understood the importance of balance and chemistry.

IMO, the 10 minutes a game he is getting is a complete waste. He needs to be playing somewhere he can get 20+ minutes and playing every situation. If it's Juniors or the AHL, where ever he is eligible to play, he needs to be there. On the ice of the QMJHL or the AHL is better than the Sabres bench for 50 minutes a game. Being on a team like the Sabres have, and going through a coaching change so early, can't be healthy for the kid's career.
-
This off the cuff comment is starting to look like a pretty solid prediction. If there was a poster child for the need of a change of scenery, it has to be Drew Stafford. The Sabres need to do this kid a favor and move him giving him a chance to start over.
-
I would like to believe the Sabres inactivity is due to upper-management putting the chains on Regier in anticipation of a change at the position. Unfortunately it is more likely Regier will make a move at the deadline and maybe another in the off-season. Both moves, individually, will look like good moves. But like most of Regier's moves they will have no positive effect on the overall success of the team.

What the Sens have been able to do despite all the major injuries they have suffered, IMO, is more impressive than what the Hawks accomplished.
-
This is very true. The Sabres may be protecting the lead and keeping the kid from costing them a game. They are also keeping him from a situation where can make a play to win a game.

Good news, I thought it might me a hamstring or worse. Hopefully the Sabres take a good look at this kid (along with the AHL kids) over the final 23 games.
