  1. There are many elements from the comics. The producers seem to be juggling the timeline as well as switching the fates of the characters. In the Comics it's Tyrese who gets his head chopped off and Dale was still alive and sleeping with Andrea.
  2. The three top teams in Blue all make significant trades.
  3. I think that was the woman Rick met in the woods.
  4. If you can't appreciate the better teams in the NHL who play a better brand of hockey then what's the point? I'm not going to stifle my love of the game by limiting it to the local franchise. Especially since the local franchise has been a train wreck in the making for some time now. It would greatly help the quality of the board if more posters spent more time watching teams outside of the Sabres. Maybe then we wouldn't end up with posts that say how good a player Leino is or that Cody Hodgson is a #1 center or even tin the foil hat conspiracies of how the NHL favors teams and certain players. At times this board seems like M. Night Shyamalan's The Village. There are 29 other teams out there and hundreds of quality players that fans should familiarize themselves with. It will help clarify exactly where the Sabres stand compared to those other teams soften the blow when the reality of a 4-5 season timeline for a turnaround becomes reality.
  5. Can you honestly say you have been a "fan" of the product this franchise has produced in recent years? If this franchise did a better job of producing an entertaining product I wouldn't have to look to other teams for entertaining quality hockey.
  6. I don't believe that for one second. This team is a result of poor fiscal and player management by Darcy Regier. All the "rebuild" BS came after they realized how badly they f'd things up.
  7. More of a reminder to keep some type of perspective.
  8. The Sabres have lost 21 of 26 games, Sabres fans know first hand, there's nothing funny about losing. The Sabres are being out shot by an average of 10.7 shots per game. They may have not been out shot 17-0 in a single period, there have been some that felt like it.
  9. Laughing at a team that has scored more goals tonight than the Sabres have in the last four games seems silly.
  10. Not only are they ranked 1-2-3 overall, the three teams are a combined 150-75-46 against the other divisions. The Ruff-ians are an amazing 58-16-16 outside the division.
  11. 2-6 in games Vanek has played in.
  12. Now tied for the team lead with Eric Staal and Nathan Gerbe. Zach Kassian scored his fifth of the season last night for the Canucks. Thomas Vanek has his 6th point in 8 games for the Islanders tonight. Jason Pominville is 13g 4a 17pts in 24 games for the Wild. 18 points away from #500.
  13. Pork rinds are practically health food. Less than 1g of carbs, 2 g of fat and 10g of protein per serving.
  14. Microwavable pork rinds! They exist and are fantastic.
  15. Kessel & Lupul for Backes? Shouldn't trades have to at least attempt to be even.
  16. I thought some said there was some sort of conspiracy to make sure the Patriots benefited from every call? Big call in a big game on national TV will have the tin foil hats in a quandary.
  17. Very nice game by EJ with his two best receivers on the shelf.
  18. I saw this as well and I hope the Sabres go in this direction. Let the younger players play in situations where they can experience success while the new management team weeds out those veteran players that have found less than full efforts acceptable.
  19. I feel sadness for posters like yourself who feel myself, PA and others "rail" for the sake of "railing." You should man-up and admit that posters like PA and myself were right and have been for a long time. Today is not a happy day. it's a day that reminds us all of the time wasted under the Regier regime. At this time it is best to leave the vast mistakes of the Regier era in the past. What happened in the Regier era stays in the Regier era. As a fan I am looking forward to see what direction the team takes.
  20. As the story lines progress it becomes more apparent that the Zombies are more an environmental and the real day to day danger is the interaction of people. They have weapons and ammo and don't use it on the zombies gathering at the fences until they break through. The ammo was being saved to protect against the real threat, people. The little girl is an interesting side story. She is dealing with a changing world by seeing the zombies as the people they were, not what they become. It's not any different than Herschel keeping Zombies in the barn. It's the differences in how the characters react that keeps the show interesting.
  21. What you'll find is a call for tougher hockey players, not goons. I've never been a fan of the Andrew Peters and Rob Rays of the team. I'd always preferred the Brad Mays who can play the game and also be a tough SOB. Scott brings nothing to this team. If this team has gained any toughness it's because of players like Ott and Foligno. There's nothing to address on the other points. It's just so absurd. look around the NHL, there are incidents where players get hurt. Sometimes there is secondary discipline and sometimes there's not. To try and indicate that discipline is based on the jersey a player wears is absurd. John Scott has twice, in a couple of months, attacked star players on marquee franchises and all he received is 7 games. If the NHL was out to get the Sabres Scott would have received much more.
  22. Johnson was only open because his man jumped the other route. Tuel must have given something away or the Cheifs had that play well scouted. If Smith stays with Johnson it's could have been a TD to Graham. IMO, the Cheifs baited Tuel into throwing that ball.
  23. Your entire point is trivial and as I said previously, embarrassing.
  24. Going head to head with an 8-0 Chiefs team with what amounts to the fourth string QB is impressive. This team battles. The coaches are creating a solid foundation to build on.
