A gun is not a "tool", it's a weapon designed for one purpose and one purpose only, to kill. You can fool yourself into to thinking otherwise, don't expect the rest to be so gullible.

"A man of faith" that happens to believe the 10 commandments are optional? I have always found the hypocrisy of the gun in one and bible in the other crowd very entertaining. Excuse me as I exercise my "god given right "to covert my neighbors wife."

2014 Stanley Cup Finals - NY Rangers vs. LA Kings
deluca67 replied to X. Benedict's topic in The Aud Club
Does a Rangers Cup victory change how fans will look at Glen Sather? He has been a target of jokes and ridicule over the years. -
It's a "God given right to own a gun?" The same God that laid down a set of 10 rules, one of which was "Thou shall not kill", which would make this definition of the 2nd amendment blasphemy. It's like eating a steak and declaring it's your right as a vegan to eat steak.

(OT) Confirmed: Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban leaders at Gitmo

Was this one of the conditions in the Miller trade? Do we get the Blues first this year? -
The NRA is the driving force behind the gun culture. They are the political arm of the gun industry. To think they are merely a " a non=profit organization with donors." is to a point of being laughable. The Supreme Court has been reduced to nothing more than a political tool, they are in fact the ultimate patronage job. The words of the founding fathers are pretty clear in the 2nd amendment, "a well regulated militia." The NRA has paid a great deal of money to make those words and the entire amendment meaningless. They have done more damage and have caused more deaths than any other terrorist group could hope to take with 100 hijacked planes. Speaking of "opening eyes", I truly hope yours and others remain closed. I'm sure people like yourself are decent and well meaning, so much so when that moment of clarity occurs and you realize what you have been defending and supporting truly is, it could be devastating.

Why would he have switched?

Sure. You wouldn't be able to give that same poison to someone intent on shooting you. Big differences between stabbing and shooting is proximity and efficiency.

Unless pull-ups are replacing the shootout I really couldn't care less. If the Sabres don't draft Bennett I'd like to see the kid fall to #4 and the Calgary Flames. I think a combination of Bennett and Monahan is solid start to a rebuild in Calgary.

The Sabres need Murray to have similar success over the next two drafts.

What a great read the last few pages has been. Why the venom towards the NRA? They are the money behind the madness. They are the driving force behind the gun culture. Their primary focus is far from being the 2nd amendment, it is to make sure that the gun culture is alive and profitable. They are relying on stirring up their base so they go out and buy more guns and creating more profits. The NRA can not say they have this countries best interests in mind when they fail to get behind measures to make us all safer. The NRA has pretty much purchased the 2nd Amendment and altered it's meaning. The 2nd Amendment is not the right to commit mass murder, it is unfortunately what the NRA and the gun culture has turned it into. The gun industry is the only industry whose primary focus is to create a product with the sole intention of killing as many people in a short period of time as possible. It is insane. Imagine if a pharmaceutical company came out with a product that would allow a person to poison a great number of people in a matter of seconds. There is no way that would ever be allow to hit the market. Yet there are those who don't even bat an eye when just anyone can go out and buy a automatic weapon and mow down a school full of children or a theater full of movie goers. The 2nd amendment is the 'right to keep and bare arms" as part of a "well regulated militia." Nowhere in the second amendment does it state that every person has the right to accumulate an arsenal. There is no right to unlimited magazine clips or a right to own to all types of weapons. Those rights simply don't exist in the constitution. It's time to face facts, the 2nd amendment is dead. What has taken it's place is a well funded ruse paid for by the NRA and the gun culture that has put the right to mass murder over an individuals right to safety. The NRA is a terrorist organization that like it's middle eastern counterparts dupes citizens into joining and funding by preying on their most basic fears. We can talk about Al-Qaeda and their ability to set off a bomb or fly a plane into a building. The NRA and the gun lobby have been able to alter the meaning of a constitutional amendment. I have to ask you, which organization is the bigger threat. I have given my answer.

I'd like to see Stewart re-signed.

You have left out one very important factor here, a certain winger will be entering a contract year. I fulling expect the 16 goals he scored last season to jump up into the 30's this year. Not to mention the Leino Factor. Is there much doubt that Leino will have a huge bounce back year scoring 20-25 goals? Not enough to push this team into the playoffs, just enough to ruin everyone's hopes and dreams.

I just want to take a moment and congratulate the NRA and gun manufacturers on yet another successful killing spring. There is no better endorsement than having average citizens become killing machines while using their products as intended with great proficiency. Elliot Roger should be celebrated along with the likes Adam Lanza & James Eagan Holmes as shining examples of what their products can do. The 100's of millions of dollars the gun culture has spent on bastardizing the 2nd amendment has been well worth it. Again, I say congratulations, stand up and celebrate a job well done.

Would you be willing to move the 2015 pick from St. Louis to back into round 1 this year?

2014 Unrestricted Free Agency - Sabres Strategy
deluca67 replied to IKnowPhysics's topic in The Aud Club
It has been said by others in previous off-seasons that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find quality and value in free agency. This years free agent crop is a great example of this opinion. Looking through the UFA listing on Cap Geek there just hasn't been many players that I actually stopped at and gave a second thought. Paul Statsny? Not at $6+ mil a year. Benoit Pouliot could be a possibility, he's had a good playoffs which may price him out of the Sabres reach. Devin Setoguchi, again depending on the price. -
Is it too much to ask for the Blues to come crashing down to Earth? The Buffalo Sabres, the first team in history to have the #1, #2 and #3 overall picks in a professional sports draft.
-
I wouldn't underestimate the allure of adding that veteran goalie. There was a gap between Tampa and the very elite of the Conference, Boston and Pittsburgh. The elite fell in this years playoffs. The Lightning have to be thinking they are closer than originally thought. Bishop had a great year, it was one year. The Lightning would have to bet that the light turned on for Bishop at age 27 and that it wasn't just a career year unlikely to be duplicated. It's a tough call.
-
Why would they have to trade for Miller? He will be a UFA. They sign Miller and flip Bishop. It's makes a playoff team even better. The Pittsburgh idea is out there. Miller to Tampa makes more sense than people want to give credit for. They have the best pure goal scorer in the NHL and a team that won 46 games last year. It is a team ready to take that next step.
