  1. They can bring in his line mate from the Tokyo Katanas, Hysushi Skors ;)
  2. Negativity is a matter of opinion and 90% of my "slams" are simply fanboi delusions by those that can't handle truth.
  3. Had 42 points in 36 games and his team finished 3rd overall in points, their best finish ever, lost in the second round of the playoffs. Playing at home and making a ton of money, I would say he is "doing" just fine.
  4. Am I killing your fanboi diatribe buzz? I'm sorry, nothing kills a party like when the adults show up. ;)
  5. I voted 'C' as in we'll have to see down the road. I did find it interesting that the first two picks are 2nd generation NHLers. I wonder if this will be a pattern under Tim Murray. I was hoping for Bennett at #2, his speed and style of play seems to be the direction the NHL going.
  6. You have to start somewhere. The Ducks are making a play to move into the elite top four teams in the league (Boston, Chicago, LA & Pittsburgh) with the Penguins possibly taking a step back.
  7. Too soon. Come back in 3-4 years and let's see where these players are.
  8. With the 40 year anniversary of the pick, the Sabres should really consider retiring his number (74) and putting a banner up at the arena. It's a great story from the teams history and should be honored as such.
  9. One of the main players in keeping the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo. That's "who" the man is. The rest of that diatribe is nothing more then petty fan bull$hit that has become far too common place on this board over the years.
  10. There is a chance the Sabres could be drafting #1 and #2 next year.
  11. That may be there #1 priority on July 1st. How does a first line containing James Neal & Paul Stastny sound?
  12. I would think the NHLPA would be all over this. A chance to not have the best young stars betrothed to the worst teams in the league seems to, IMO, work in the best interests of the players. I would prefer the NHL go to a true lottery where each team that does not make the playoffs gets an equal chance. One team one ball in the hopper. Wouldn't the proposed change actually work in favor of the Sabres? They have three first round picks and likely two lottery picks.
  13. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I'll agree with this. This team is still a mess right now. No need to rush the kid.
  14. Time clouds everyone's memory. Fans need to take a moment and remember how bad things were and how easy and justifiable it would have been for Bettman to let this franchise move. This is the same city that booed Santa Claus.
  15. I'm, at this point, against moving Myers. There is no hurry to move him unless a team comes in with a offer too good to pass up.
  16. Kesler to the Ducks is at this point the trade that has the most potential impact. James Neal to Nashville is the most shocking move at this point. This may be an example of a new GM sending a message to the dressing room. At 26 and locked in for four more years, Neal would have looked really goo din a Sabres uniform.
  17. Sean Monahan and now Sam Bennett. keep an eye on the Calgary Flames going forward.
  18. Bettman is one of the primary reasons the City of Buffalo still has an NHL franchise. Any Sabre fan that would boo Bettman should be embarrassed.
  19. I don't believe any player is untouchable. It's just with Myers the sum does equate to all of his talent and attributes. It's like adding and forgetting to carry the one.
  20. I like Kane, he would be great return value in a Myers trade. For some reason which I can not explain I am growing leery of trading Tyler Myers. Maybe it's that he is only 24 and coming into his prime. All the tools are there, if that light clicks on, a big if, it would be the most regrettable trade in Sabres history.
  21. Am I the only one interested in the Sabres picking up Jonas Hiller? I like the ideas of an Enroth/Hiller goalie rotation. I'm not saying break the bank on Hiller, but if the Sabres can sign him for 2-3 years at between $3-4 mil a year, I think there is great value there.
  22. I am going to toss out an alternative trade idea out there for the #12 pick this year. Phoenix's #12 & #44 picks for Hodgson and the Sabres #31 & #35 picks. I would be ecstatic if the Commissioner stepped up the podium and announced this trade. That would my "holy mackerel" trade.
  23. It was done with the same effort Leino put out on the ice.
  24. How many games did Scott play for the Rangers? His Ranger career amounted little more than 32 minutes of ice time. Not to let "facts" get in the way. For the right price I'd take a chance on Booth. At 29 I think he might have some good hockey left in him.
  25. I'm sorry, if you think Scott and Thornton are similar players you're not paying attention. A contending team (or a team that believes they can contend) looking to add a little grit to their fourth line will pick Thornton up.
