I guess this means that somewhere on a different message board there is a lonely house wife wondering, "who the F*ck is McEichel?"

Game discussion thread GDT: HELL YES BEAT THE PENS 4/11/15

Can the Sabres start this lineup? -
Says the man who predicted Cody Hodgson would be the next Drew Stafford before it became the cool thing to do. Cheers!

Absolutely! D67

If I did everyone should worry since I'm usually right about these things, Roy being the one notable exception. ;)

GDT Sabres at Blue Jackets 4-10-2015 7PM MSG WGR

Despite all the BS this roster of players are giving it their all to the bitter end. With the draft pick crap behind us all, let's knock the f*cking Pens out of the playoffs tomorrow night. -
A picture of taro celebrating? Who's the Sailor?

Dream big or go home as they say. After 118 losses over a two season span, why not?

Are we allowed to be Sabre fans again?

This a futuristic "stupid thread" guaranteed to appear on this board in about three years if the Sabres do get the 1st pick and draft McDavid, "We should have drafted Jack Eichel!" or if they end up with the 29th pick and draft Jack Eichel "We should have drafted Dylan Strome!"

Hopefully they are taking small pieces of his heart and injecting them into the rest of the franchise.

Congrats to both Derrico & dudacek on their Championship seasons. I gave it a run in both leagues from the #2 and #4 seeds, just didn't have the production when needed it most. Will have to regroup and get ready to take another run at it next season. Again, Great Job to both #1 seeds, you both put solid teams together and are well deserving Champions. -
I was thinking Tucker around Easter. Wasn't Tucker also involved in a brawl with the crowd at some point? Maybe in juniors?
-
Didn't John Tucker or Dave Andreychuk score 4 goals in a game on Easter?
-
Scoring is cyclical, parity is a pipe dream, hits to the head is already being addressed and there will always be failing markets. The integrity of the NHL and the drafting process being called into question? You bet your ass it's a top priority. Every 10 years? That it ever is allowed to happen is alarming.

IMO, Zadorov's ceiling is a Anton Volchenkov type. A solid thumper on the back end that a team needs. Through 57 games of their rookie seasons their offensive production is almost identical. If Zadorov can be a more talented Volchenkov I believe we would all be happy with that.

If you believe in karma and the "Hockey Gods" you have to wonder if all this wishing for Sabres losses that has been going on will have an impact. What is that saying, be careful what you wish for. What if the "Hockey Gods" grant the wishes of some and the Sabres lose out and get 30th pick. The "season" isn't over, what if the "Gods" while granting this wish consider the "lottery" part of the season and the "Gods" cause the Sabres to lose out on the lottery and the Sabres have to settle for 29th and a team like the Leafs or Philadelphia wins McDavid? "Gods" are cruel and are often pranksters, just look at platypuses and Republicans. The desires of some may be the downfall of us all.

I feel comfortable enough in what I have seen from Zadorov to say a spot on the roster is his, if doesn't screw it up which I guess is a big "if". His only obstacle right now is maturity. I would be shocked if at this same time next year we are having a similar discussion.

More importantly is that the Yotes and Sabres are both playing hard to the end displaying pride and not disrespecting the sport. I've been more proud of this group of Sabres than I have been other more talented groups in recent history. If Vanek, Miller, Pominville, Stafford and others would have shown this much spirit we wouldn't be one of the worst teams in the league right now. Being one of the worst teams for a second straight season is embarrassing for most Sabres fans, we can take away that even though they do not have the overall talent right now, they're not quitters and they deserve not to have "fans" quit on them over the last few games.

The Sabres need Larsson and other younger players to start cementing their place on this roster. It's an important part of the rebuild. Drafting and trading for prospects is step one, the next step is for those players to earn their place with the Sabres. Girgensons Ristolainen Zadorov and now Larsson, if he can maintain. The future is already here, the first pieces of the next Sabres Cup contender are already in place.

Some day you will realize the end result was never in our hands. Those that choose to sit back and enjoy what little hockey is left this season can do so with their hockey souls intact. I am learning more and more that the "tank" people are a small minority of Sabres Nation. I have yet to come accross any in day to day life. Friends, family, co-works or just people around the area, mention "tank" and most often the response is disgust or embarrassment. "Tankers" are not a true representation of the "fans" of this franchise. But hey, keep telling yourself you are doing the right thing by cheering against your team. If it helps you sleep at night I am happy. Happy Easter, if you celebrate it. Well said. Enjoy as much hockey remaining in this season as you can. There's no point not to.
