Problem is a gross amount of sexual assaults and rapes don't get prosecuted. The longer the process goes the less likely the prosecution goes forward. It's don;t difficult to avoid or beat a rape or sexual assault charge, especially if you have money. My hope in all of this is that this women's life hasn't been completely destroyed. There are some things in life you just can't move on from. Even if the prosecution were to move forward and end in a conviction it is less likely that this women would go on to live a reasonably normal life.

I guess we can start counting in hours instead of weeks and days in between shootings. Another dead body to pile onto the alter of the 2nd Amendment. http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/01/us/north-carolina-winston-salem-university-shooting/

I believe there are real life "zombie animals."

Another day, another shooting spree. Ho-hum, we now go back to your regularly scheduled programming.
-
Love all the Rob Zombie movies, both Halloween I & II as well as House of a 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects.

Two for your consideration. A Japanese movie called "Audition", starts off very slow, the final third of the movie will keep you up at nights. A French movie called "High Tension", starts off fast and keeps on going. Very disturbing at points. You should be able to find one or both on Amazon or Netflix.

Zombies are environmental, they were never intended to be the focus of the story. People, be it in the comics or the show, are the focus and the true evil. If you looking for evolution look no further than Rick & Carol. You can also see it in other characters. If they continue to use the books as a compass we will all see the evolution of evil.

I'd go with Johnson, the rookie had a good night, best to keep him on a schedule. Let the success of last night set in for a bit, the Islanders can score some goals in bunches. I would hate to see any confidence the kid earned last night be crushed by an Islanders 4-5 spot. Build the kid up and don't rush him into a work load he may not be ready for.

The drop off from their goaltending is a big factor. They are allowing basically the same amount of shots as last season, their save percentages are way down. Goals wise they are down almost an entire goal per game despite maintaining pretty much the same amount of shots. They are also allowing almost 1 1/2 more goals per game so far. Boston leading the league with 4 goals per game while being undefeated on the road is an early season surprise. The Kings being 6-3 (losing 3 than winning 6 straight) through 9 games while only scoring 20 goals and allowing 18 has to be the strangest start to the season.

IMO, the first thing on that resume I want to see would be is that person a leader? That's most important aspect of the job especially today. Right now both parties are so fragmented it's going to take a great "leader" to get anything done going forward. Which is why I give President Obama the highest marks for accomplishing what he has. He has done more with possibly the historically worst Congress in world history than most President's have with a better Congress.

New year, tons of firepower, still cant score.

The Sabres are averaging about a half a goal more this season (2.27) than they ended last season with (1.87). Which may not seem like a lot, if you look at the GF average compared to other teams, more teams are struggling to score this season. Last season a 2.27 would have placed the Sabres 27th, this season it's good for 21st. I know these are aren't blow your mind numbers, it will be interesting to see how these numbers play out for the rest of the season. Considering the slow start, 21st is decent, borderline respectable. -
One big positive the Sabres have going for them...

I see a number of "big positives" this season. -
It's seems forced.

The Jags went into their "prevent defense" in the 2nd quarter? No wonder they are 2-5  If the Bills D held the lead against the Jags would EJ be getting credit for the "W" or would people being saying, "it was just the Jags." The overall point is that this great divide in talent that some fans, and to an extent WGR, are trying to create just doesn't exist. The only difference in my eyes is that Taylor came from a much better situation in Baltimore than Manuel has had here in Buffalo the previous two seasons which has hampered EJ's development. There is no reason to discard Manuel, Taylor has not proven he is any teams long term solution. It is still very much in doubt who will end up the better NFL QB. They can both end up starters in the league or they can both end up being backups.
-
Do you remember 10 of 17 for 109 yards for the game, not a quarter or half, the entire game. I know it's the in thing to bash on EJ, I find that opinion lazy and the easy way out, but how many quarterbacks are going to have a stretch like that and see that QB come back and play the ball he did from the last part of the first half to end of the game? The kid showed something there. Injuries and Doug Marrone hurt Manuel early on. The kid makes some throws that makes me wonder if given some time with some decent coaching if he couldn't be a viable NFL QB. Not saying Tom Brady, but if Ryan Fitzpatrick can still find work there is no reason Manuel can't be a starter in this league.

Taylor made a couple of big plays with his legs in that game, sure. But that game was won by the defense who kept it close while Taylor and the offense dislodged their heads from their .

The problem with that is a Stamkos level player won't likely be available next season. It's one of those situations where opportunity can out weigh patience.

The question is "Why?" Why would the NFL or the officials target the Bills? As mentioned, they are one of the least relevant teams in the league, why expend the effort? Is the league afraid the Bills are going to overtake the Patriots? The league hates the Patriots, wouldn't the "enemies of my enemies are my allies" apply? If you want to believe in conspiracies, wouldn't the logical one be that the NFL would help the other three teams in the division? Is the league out to get Rex Ryan? Why? Does the league want to get Terry Pegula? Why? Seriously, for anyone out there who thinks the league is out to get the Bills, please give an answer that isn't easily debunked.

He looked worse than EJ ever has for most of that Titans game. It's the same as the "defenseless receiver" calls. You just can't take free shots on either side of the ball. The league said they were going to emphasis these hits going back to last season. IMO, it was a selfish play by Woods, he was looking for an ESPN highlight hit. It hurt the Bills. The McCoy fumble hurt, the ball inside the 5 instead of the 20 puts the Bills defense in a better spot.
-
I believe most QB's if not all have the plays on their wrist band.
-
Would this be the same Woods who took the 15 yrd penalty with the selfish crack back block that gave the ball to the Jaguars close to their 20 instead of down within the 5 on the McCoy fumble? Those plays were are hurtful to the Bills cause as any other.

I would think there would have to be an economic impact study done somewhere.

This is complete ! He had a bad stretch of players but composed himself and gave the team a chance to win the game. After the sack and fumble TD the Bills coaches shouldn't have had EJ back in the pocket throwing passes. He was dinged up and it showed. They should have ran the ball and had who the back up QB in there giving EJ a chance to shake off the hit. And holly F*ck, can a coaching staff screw up a two minute drive any worse. They new they were getting the ball back with about 2:20 left in the game, how was the offense not ready. Every good team I have ever watched has multiple plays called on the two minute drive, that they only got the one play off before the two minute drill was an epic fail on the part of the coaches. Three chances at 1 yard and they couldn't get it done. Gannon had it right, rolling a right handed towards the short side of the field was a dumb call, it didn't work on the two point conversion and it didn't work then. And how many $100's of millions is this defense making? The Bills score 10 points at the end of the 1st half and had the momentum, what does the defense do, they give up a drive of almost 10 minutes, great job on the goal line stand, but they needed to get the Jags of off the field. For the Jags it killed the Bills momentum and the 9:50 off of the clock were as good as points. Are numbers available indicating tax dollars to the Bills compared to the economic impact of the Bills on the area?

Kentucky Greg's is now serving Beer Cheese Soup, like everything else they serve, it's amazing. Also, Went to breakfast at Nick's Place on Amherst Street, just west of Wegman's, on Saturday, very good and reasonably priced. My favorite spot for breakfast is the Howling Rooster on Kenmore Ave, I will be adding Nick's Place into the rotation.
