My focus watching this season is on the future. Any player I may consider a disappointment are players I don't see on the roster in a season or two. There is going to be a lot of turnover the next couple of seasons.
-
Being disappointed at this point seems a lot like being disappointed in your newborn because after a couple of months they aren't walking or talking. Right now it's all about letting the season play out and see what pieces land where and what pieces are carrying over into the 2016-17 season.

Agree 100% You don't recycle nicknames. What's next, calling Mark Pysyk "Big Pypi"?

Keep the coaching staff. Keep building the defense and O-line through the draft. Find a kick-returner to replace Harvin. Do what it takes to get Kaepernick into a Bills uniform next season. Sorry, the Bills don't have time with this defense to draft and cultivate a mid-first round QB prospect.

I will agree, putting concerns of money over concern for people is 100% Christian in today's world.

This post is hilarious, especially right before the Thanksgiving holiday. You know, that holiday where Native Americans opened their land to European refugees oh so long ago. The Christian spirit around the holidays always brings a tear to my eye.

This is 100% correct. Taylor looked as bad last night as he did in the first Patriots game and almost as bad as he did against the Titans. Unless the Bills have the Dolphins on the schedule a couple of more times we will see much of the luster come off Taylor between now and the end of yet another playoff-less season. The offensive game plan was horrible last night. The backs ran 600 yards east/west to gain 94 yards north/south. The offensive line isn't good enough to maintain the blocks needed to make that style of running work. Sammy Watkins is truly Mr.Glass. He makes one catch through three quarters and needs the trainers? I fear he may not be tough enough for the NFL. Clock/timeout management again was horrific. 7 minutes left, down by 10 and the Taylor and the offense are strolling around like the game is tied or they are down by three. And that two minute drive was pathetic. Get the ball back with 1:50 left and they couldn't even make it to mid-field. The score may have been close, the feeling after the game is the same as it has been for years. I take no moral victory away from this, just the realization that the 2015 Buffalo Bills are nowhere near good enough to do anything significant.

Isn't tanking the only way to improve?

Sad to see one local politician is giving in to the panic. http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/erie-county-politics/lorigo-calls-for-poloncarz-to-reverse-stance-on-accepting-syrian-refugees-20151114 If Mr. Lorigo is so concerned about "our community" I bet he must be a supporter of stronger gun control laws.

No straw involved at all. It's a fools dream that Iraq or any Middle Eastern state will become like the US or Canada without first dealing with the root problems. Keeping Iraq as a US patrolled police state is not how you make real change. Change has to come from within, not a threat of a US tank.
-
Spending trillions more and sacrificing more Americans lives was/is not the answer. You don't fight ideology with tanks and bombs. The problem in the Middle East has been and will always be that there is a small group who are high jacking a religion to overtake and control a region. They force young men into their ranks telling them how evil the West is, showing the path of destruction of two Gulf wars and Israeli military strikes. These young men have know idea there is a better life out there. Those that do, flee the region. It's important to show these young men that there is a better life out there for them and that they are not hated simply due to their skin color and religion.

Considering all the Candidates on both sides, the best option continues to be giving President Obama a third term. We got a good thing going, why fu@k it up with a lessor option?

Best thing that could have ever happened to Women's MMA. Not only does it set up a monster re-match that will sell a bunch of pay-per views. It gives the causal fan another point of interest in the sport. I'm sure the hardcore MMA fans know who Holly Holm is, tomorrow morning the entire world will know.

It's very relevant. It's point out that we have had war level violence in our streets and no one seems to care. I guess it may be due to not being able wrap up violence at home in some pseudo-patriotism. Guns continue to be a pandemic that kills more Americans than any foreign country or terrorist group and most diseases, yet nothing gets done about it. Bringing in automobile stats is equivalent is equivalent to bringing in a stat about toaster related deaths. I love wings as much as much as I hate guns.
-
Posting automobile stats in a gun debate is pretty much admitting you have no argument.
-
We need to help those 100's of thousands of men, women children trying to escape the violence. I'm sorry, your post is the exact type of reaction that terrorists are hoping for.

Offsides is offsides, no need to start categorizing it. If the Sabres lose a game I want to now that the goal was legit. If they lose and replay shows later the play was offsides I would be pissed. The NHL's coaches challenge is replay done right. I wish the NFL would expand their coaches challenge system. So, you wouldn't mind if the Sabres lost a game on a bad call as long as it only takes 30-60 seconds to review? Length of time of reviews and the "flow of the game" arguments continue to be the most bogus arguments against the replay system.

From watching and reading the news it doesn't seem that an armed to the teeth police force is much of a deterrent at all. The job. after all, is to keep the peace not out gun the bad guys. Police work should not be done as if it's a war zone. A good police officer needs to be more psychiatrist than Rambo. The focus should be in the class room not the gun range or the armory. Defuse a situation not escalate. In a situation, the most level head needs to belong to the men and women in blue. Military training focuses on attack and kill, that has no place in a civil police force. They are civil servants charged with keeping the peace, not soldiers.
-
I think the conversation needs to be had regarding demilitarizing local police officers. I know this came up a little bit after Ferguson Missouri. I would like to hear the Presidential Candidates thoughts on the matter. I for one would like to see any person with any type of military back ground ineligible for police duty. Local men and women in blue should go back to being peace officers. They should live within the community they patrol. Their first priority should be to defuse situations. They need to remember they are civil servants not soldiers. Just some thoughts I have been having, hope to spark a conversation on the matter.

It's a horrible combination of the need to protect a local sports hero and a country's attitude towards women. We still live in a country where being a woman is considered the lessor by many. Be it the attitude that a woman must have "wanted it" or is "out for money" when it comes to situations like the Kane situation or if it is the desire to control reproductive rights or even inequality in the workplace. Crimes and slights against women are just not taken seriously. It's hard to believe in this day and age it is the case, but we are dealing with centuries of religious influence where in most religions women are basically property of their husbands and fathers. It shouldn't be difficult for anyone to believe how easy it is to get away with a sexual crime against women. Bill Crosby was able to rape dozens of women over decades. Sexual crimes are not like other crimes, the life long scaring and damage caused often will drive a woman to move past the situation as quickly as possible especially when they know the chances are slim that justice will every be served. I'm sure this went into this woman's decision to move on. Why allow herself to be assaulted again through the process when chances of justice are so low.

I've been getting that feeling back where I can't wait for the next game.
