President Obama has down right by me over the past 7 years. I would have like a stronger hand on the gun control issue, besides that I couldn't ask for much more.

On January 15th the Dow opened at 16,354. I can't imagine the market losing 14,000 in a matter of 10 months. If it did I would expect my 401k to lose a lot more than 25%. Under Bush it lost a lot more than that. As the economy continues to become more global there will be greater risks. What happens in Iran and China effects us more now that ever and will continue to have a greater influence.

With Iran now being able to sell it's oil on the open market it is likely we will see prices go even lower. The dow is still over 15k, a far cry from the 6,600 low caused by the Bush presidency. Once Iran settles back into the world economy things overall will settle down. Of course the actions taken by President Obama early in his first term had nothing to do with the economy's resurgence :doh:

Considering the concerted effort of the Republican party to nullify Black voters, I would guess they were there as a symbolic representation of a people who will not have their votes nullified.

If they are black they are equal. Didn't see many complaining when white gun nuts starting showing up armed at mini-malls to "protect" enlistment offices? There is a vast disparity of what is acceptable based primarily on color of skin.

If your special teams and defense allows a team to march down the field and score why does a team deserve a shot on offense? Kickoff, cover on special teams and have your defense hold for a 3 and out and you get the ball at about midfield. The college system is horrible and not a reflection of the game, like the NHL's 3 on 3 is not representative of the game as a whole. The Packers had a chance to win the game. The had a choice to go for 2 pts with no time on the clock. They decided to go for the single extra point. If Mike McCarthy would have showed some balls the Packers might be alive in the playoffs today. It was that decision that ended up costing the Packers the game, not a coin flip.

Remember during the last Presidential Election when two black men dressed as Black Panthers stood outside a voting place? The outrage that it caused was amazing. We have an armed group of terrorists that need to be addressed appropriately.

Why not just play 3 on 3? :doh: I wish the NFL would go back to the sudden death version of OT. The isn't kindergarten where each kid gets a seat in musical chairs. Hats off to Carson Palmer. When he left Cincy many thought he was on his way out of the NFL. What a great resurrection story. I am rooting for Palmer and the Cardinals to win it all.

I'm knocking out Harvey and Howe. I am becoming a real modernist lately when it comes to sports. I think that most of the average player sin today's game would be stars in the 60's-70's & 80's. Even the lessor tier goalies would be stars in that era. The evolution of NHL players as athletes over the past 20 years, especially in goal, has been phenomenal. I feel this way across all sports. Problem with players like the Rocket is that the level of goaltending during his time was pretty sad. Much like hitters today in baseball compared to the 50's and 60's. I think hitters today would crush the cheese thrown by pitchers from that era.

Woke up Saturday morning: Filled up the gas tank for $1.99 a gallon. Went to the pharmacy and picked up three prescriptions costing me $12.00. Come Monday morning we are have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate our new office space expansion and I move into my new desk. Thank You President Obama. :thumbsup: My only concern is that this all goes away once the Republicans start tanking the economy again. :thumbdown:

They are what they are, armed white terrorist occupying US Land. They should be removed. The moment they fire one shot they commit treason and should be dealt with as such. One thing is for sure, their white skin is the only reason this has gone on for as long as it has.

Whomever wins the Presidential Election, Dem or Rep, is going to be a huge step down. Hilary and Bernie isn't much to choose from and the Republican field is just a bad joke. Best case scenario to keep the positive momentum the country has is a Hilary win and some ground made up in congress. A Republican win and we'll be right on the course Bush had us on which means economic collapse and more lives lost to unnecessary/pointless wars. Enjoy these last months of what soon will be known as the Good Old Days.
