  1. They are only 4 points behind the Sabres. Florida is still in it at 5pts back. My complaint on this Thursday is why does KFC still sell the breast pieces? Drums and thighs is all they should serve. No one likes the breast pieces.
  2. Finally! Pavel Datsyuk is healthy. Ready for the home stretch.
  3. Thanks. I made a crucial mistake when I didn't have Jeff Skinner in the lineup on Thursday. I ended up getting home late from work and didn't get him in the lineup. Cost me 2 goals and an assist. I think we were one of the higher combined scoring match-ups this week. It was funny about the goal-tending. I picked up Theordore hoping to that one of the two backups would start Sunday. They ended up starting against each other. Too much to ask for 1-0 shootout victory.
  4. Yeah. It still bugs me. What can I say.
  5. My complaint is against the radio commercial for the "Whiny Awards." Does anyone else find it not funny to hear Jim Kelly talking about how hammered Thurman Thomas would get? So hammered he would sleep at the stadium so he wouldn't miss meetings. Am I the only one thinking if these guys took it a bit more seriously the Bills may have actually WON a Super Bowl?
  6. Were you wearing a Team Canada jersey when you woke-up?
  7. I hate this thread because it's not about TG,LQ,DR or LR complaints.
  8. I've sent trade offers to everyone. Still interested in keeping Vanek with Roy out? I may be in first place but that is more of a result of scheduling than anything else.
  9. So much for the importance of having a good draft. Of the 18 players I drafted? Only five remain.
  10. Why do F**king school buses stop on the corner of a major street and block traffic just so they can turn down the next side street. You can kill two birds with one stone. Stop traffic issues by keeping all school bus pickups on the side streets. You can also help childhood obesity by making the fat little bastards walk a few extra steps to the new bus stop.
  11. No rest for the weary. Right back at it against another division leader.
  12. 7-7 at this point. I predict a close finish at the end of the week. Luckily neither 2nd place team seems positioned to take advantage. Saturday night will be a big night.
  13. I could, but why lie to myself and you? He has been less of a train wreck this year than he was last year. A legit top four defense-man? Not on a quality team. Not on a contender. I see Montador rated as a top four defense-man the same as considering the Sabres in a good position because they are only 5 points out of eight place. Just more settling for the mediocre standard that has somehow become acceptable. Much like a "lovable" 2-10 Bills team.
  14.
  15. When Weber looks up to make the pass Butler is not in the corner. Considering the pressure I doubt a soft pass would have been a option. The group on the ice got run over and Weber simply was stuck with the hot potato. No one else on the ice put themselves in a position to take the pass.
  16. The person that really needs to take the blame on that play is Regier. Why isn't Nathan Horton a Buffalo Sabre? Because Connolly, Hecht, Rivet and Gaustad are too valuable?
  17. Good old fashion hockey trade. One that benefits both teams. Highlighted match-up of the week: Tom Webster vs nobody. Battle of division leaders.
  18. Watch the video on NHL.com. You can hit pause and click the blue bar to go frame by frame. Butler wasn't in the corner and McCormick was standing facing Weber in no position to take the pass. If Weber dumped to the other corner he is basically giving up the puck to the swarming Bruins. I'm not trying to absolve Weber of any blame. I just trying to point out it was a bad shift by all. Weber didn't have a lot of other options on the play.
  19. Are you suggesting Weber should have downed the puck and have the Sabres start their drive at the 20?
  20. Was it a dumb play? He looked up and saw his outlet guy, Gaustad, and tried to get him the puck. Horton jumped the pass like a corner-back does. I have a few questions about that play. Why is Gaustad floating around the slot there? Horton was his guy, Gaustad should have read his break towards the net. Why was Butler late in getting to the other corner for the outlet? Why was McCormick just standing there along the boards? Weber made the wrong play because it was the play that led to a goal. The other guys on the ice did nothing to help the kid out or give him safer options.
  21. That shouldn't be a problem going forward. They had 6 million viewers on the last episode and and crushed the important 19-49 demographic. Something like $3.5 million I believe.
  22. The standings are very telling. The top eight teams in the East all above .500 and the bottom seven are all below .500. Tampa is the only top eight with a negative goal differential while all of the bottom seven have a negative goal differential. As is looks right the Sabres will need to climb above .500 to get into the top eight. Right now they are five games under .500 with a rough four game stretch coming up, Boston twice, San Jose and Pittsburgh. It will be a task for the Sabres to not drop further under .500 let alone make up some ground. With the Sabres 11 points out of fourth it is safe to say as of today they are one of the teams battling for the four remaining spots.
  23. Absolutely, changes have to be made. This team is nowhere near being a solid contender. It is disappointing seeing how the standard of success for the Sabres has declined. For this team just to squeak into the playoffs as the 8 seed is would be a disappointing season. It would be the equivalent of another 7-9 Bills season. Just enough success to justify not making any changes.
  24. What are you looking for?
  25. When you have Status Quo refusing to make changes you will see similar posts for the rest of this year and for as many years as they stay in control of this franchise.
