Hodgson is a young kid and would likely have many fans while in Vancouver. It doesn't mean anything. Look at how many people here that were happy with the Stafford contract this past off-season and how silly they look now.

What works in the favor of Buffalo in a Rick Nash scenario is that Columbus has no deadline to move him. He is under contract to the Blue Jackets for some time. They are in a position to tell Nash that Buffalo is offering the most and that is the team they want to trade him to. If he doesn't waive the NTC he can remain in Columbus. What to give up for Nash? You start with the 2 #1s this year. Maybe Staffords late season push to 20 goals peaks the Blue Jackets interest. Maybe Roy, and certainly one of the one prospects that fans would hate to give away like McNabb or Foligno.

Good job, I wish I could have put up much more of a fight. I would say missing Callahan and Toews all week hurt except that my team has been struggling all year.
