The 5 Guys on Transit have kick-ass fries. Don't know what's going on in Texas, there are no better fried in WNY, they are up there with Ted's onion rings which I love. I just tried Firehouse Subs for the first time. They are really good (had the beef brisket &cheddar) and not overpriced. 2 large Subs and a a large drink cost under $20 which isn't bad for Amherst.

I have no doubts that voter ID laws are designed to keep potential voters away from the voting booths which favors the Republicans. That said, I have no problem with having to show ID in order to vote. It's actually silly to think you can vote without identification. It should be, however, the local municipalities responsibility to provide free photo identification to any one who requests one.

The Sabres problems began a couple of weeks earlier when the Senators were allowed to chop down Thomas Vanek without any repercussions which, IMO, directly related to the Bruins doing the same in game one. I'm always fascinated when some fans, not you, talk about the Miller incident as a singular occurrence and not another incident in a long list of incidents. 100% Agree. Lucic has something John Scott doesn't have, hockey talent. If I'm the Bruins, or any other team, and John Scott hits the ice I'm throwing out my #1 line. It would be like a power play for me.

The Bruins outscored the Sabres 10-3 in the third periods and the one OT. The Bruins wore the Sabres down. The Sabres were game, just not designed to or use to, playing that brand of hockey.

Don't let him/her get to you Pudd'n. ;) Simmonds is coming off a great year, I would like to see him back it up with another season before I would be willing sign to him to a big contract. I need to make sure it isn't a one and done like Stafford two seasons ago. There is also the concern that Simmonds had just fallen into that spot that Leino turned into a big contract after one season. At 23 Simmonds seems to have a ton of potential. If he can repeat his success, or even improve on it. he will get his big payday.

Just one change, if there is a split you win. I fully expect Miller's sv% to dip below .910 and his gga to be above 2.60. By the new year I expect there to be a full blown goaltender controversy in hockey heaven. That is of course if the Sabres don't do something stupid like trade Enroth, unless they get a goalie like Hiller in return.

For anyone interested, Dave a& Adam's has scarves commemorating the Sabres trip to Europe last season. There are two styles, one for the game against the Kings and one for the Ducks. Cost is about $11.00 each. I picked up a pack of 2011-12 Upper Deck hockey and got a Joe Findley Young Guns card. Was he considered a rookie or were they just short on Young Guns candidates?

They have numbers as in they have a bunch of guys with NHL experience. I am concerned with the overall depth and talent level of the group as a whole. IMO, depth is more about quality than it is actual numbers. As i have stated over the past few months I totally agree with you on Myers. I just don't see Myers as being the player many here do. I see Couturier as being a much better player than what is being described here. IMO, Couturier would be the franchise center the Sabres have been starving for. I truly believe that if the Sabres called Philly and offered Myers for Couturier straight up that they would immediately decline the offer.
