There is a reason why there was no GW Bush or his partners in crime at the RNC, they wanted no reminder of exactly how bad things were 3 1/2 years ago and no reminders of what a piss poor job the Republicans did with their 8 years. Obama has spent 3 1/2 years stopping the bleeding. Blaming Obama for the country's current state It's like asking a fire fighter fighting the California wild fires why is the new grass not growing yet on the scorched earth where they just put the fire out. Undoing the damage the Republicans did during the Bush dark ages is going to take more than 3 1/2 years. I can't imagine how people think handing the country back to the Republicans who are standing there with a can of gasoline and matches is a good idea.

What is different now? This team is no further along than it was three years ago. Actually the core group that would be jettisoned like Miller, Vanek and Pominville is nothing more than 3 years older. I loved what the Red Sox did by clearing 200+ million off the books. They are no further away from being WS Champions today then they were yesterday. Now they have the flexibility to make significant changes.

Not really! Agree 100% Guns are dangerous even in the hands of trained professionals. IMO, the guns don't leave the police officer's holsters if some random citizen wasn't allowed easy access to a hand gun. It's another situation created by a nut job with a gun which he was able to obtain because of other nut jobs.

It makes sense. It would be fascinating to watch a Southern Country evolve, or devolve, over the next 20 years. I could see the South turning into a country similar to what you see in the Middle East. A warring country divided into religious sects. Once the heathens and non-believers are gone they would turn on themselves.

For a while now I have advocated blowing the Buffalo Sabres up from the GM down the roster. I have faced a lot of resistance to the idea. The Boston Red Sox are about to do just that. I am a Red Sox fan and I love the trade that will apparently be finalized shortly. I am of the opinion that if it just isn't working, change it. The Sox where nowhere near winning a World's Series. IMO, they are pretty much in the same position the Sabres are in. They spend a lot of money and just didn't get the results. I am wonder what the opinions are here considering one of the elite franchises in sports are about to enter uncharted waters? Is this a fair comparable to the Sabres?
