  1. This is the right strategy. The Bills need to take the best player available in every round despite their perceived "needs." No need to chase previous poor decisions regarding QBs with more poor decisions on QBs. We would all love to have that next franchise guy under center, forcing a player that is incapable of filling the role is how we ended up with Fitzpatrick and all his fellow post Kelly predecessors. I am not one of the people who believe this team is a QB away from being a contender. IMO, they are a GM, Coach and 4 to 5 years of solid drafting away from being a real contender. By "real contender" I mean a team that will be up there where the Pats, Ravens, Texans and 49er's are right now.
  2. You can say the exact same thing about Romney. Romney supported trillions in giveaways for the top 1% in the form of tax cuts and increased spending for military contractors.
  3. Fred Jackson is no longer a "play maker." He's not capable of breaking that big run, injuries have slowed him down. Exactly! Jackson should only be in the game to give Spiller a breather. You draft Spiller hoping he becomes exactly what he has become. Spiller is a big time runner capable breaking any run for a TD. I can not explain why the Bills purposely try to limit Spiller.
  4. Fitzpatrick had 33 attempts. Spiller had 14 carries 107 yards. It is well past the time to take the ball out of Fitzpatrick's hand and give it to the only playmaker this team has. Worry about what to do when teams stop Spiller when they actually stop Spiller.
  5. I know he will be, I just can't think of any reasonable or justifiable reason Chan Gailey will still be the head coach of the Bills tomorrow. The Colts have zero respect for the Bills defense.
  6. "He was wide open by 5-10 yards, not sure if it was a blown coverage." Mark Kelso (circa about 5 minutes ago.)
  7. I am torn, right now I have the two biggest needs for the Bills in the coming off-season as Head Coach and QB, I just don't know which is #1a and which is #1b.
  8. It is going to be fascinating to watch as the Republican Party splits into two. There is a definite split between the Limbaugh, Hannity, Norquist, Tea Party types and the more reasonable, and quiet, members of the party. It may not happen in time for the 2016 elections, IMO, the lunatic fringe of the Republican party will be forced out which will cause the emergence of the "Third Party" so many have hoped for.
  9. ND is 4-0 against "Top 20" teams and Alabama is 3-1 against "Top 20" teams. Both defenses are giving up 10.1 points a game. They are evenly matched, IMO. It's a weird situation, IMO, Alabama can lose to Georgia in the SEC title game and still make the National Championship game if ND loses. Unless Alabama gets blown out by Georgia, I don't see Florida or Texas A&M jumping into the top twp spots. I hope Ohio State goes 12-0 and can't play for the National Championship, it would be a appropriate punishment.
  10. With Barkley hurt the Fighting Irish should cruise to 12-0, the way the season has been going, who knows. The two big upsets put Alabama right back in the driver's seat for a shot at the National Championship. I know it looks "dubious", IMO, baseball wise it was a good move.
  11. Isn't Hostess part of the reason we have so many health problems in this country in the first place?
  12. This move really isn't that different from the move the Red Sox made when they traded Gonzalez to the Dodgers, that was considered a great move by most. Which is ironic considering both teams won only 62 games last year. If it isn't working than blow it up. The Marlins won 62 games with those players, I think they can achieve that level of success without them. As a Red Sox fan I want to see what they do this off-season, Marlins fans should feel the same way.
  13. Willing to give your life because you so strongly believe in a cause is far from cowardly. IMO, a soldier sitting miles offshore pressing a button that releases a missile intended to kill is far more "cowardly." For that matter, flying overhead thousands of feet drooping bombs is a cowardly act. Terrorist today are modern day versions of the Japanese Kamikaze pilots. Life is the ultimate sacrifice of war, to willingly give it up for a greater cause is not cowardly.
  14. The only reason the Dolphins were able to stay in the game was Chan Gailey. This was a game between two bad football teams. It was a win but still nothing to get excited about.
  15. Why is a 3-6 team kicking field goals on 4th in 1, in the red zone, in the 1st quarter?
  16. 3rd and 1 and they run Choice from the wildcat, I can't wait till Gailey is gone.
  17. If you watch the replay, the DB covering Spiller goes to Johnson and realizes what he has done and he stops which leaves Johnson 1 on 1 with his DB with the entire back corner of the end-zone. Spiller, because the DB is confused and stops, has a lane to the end zone, even if he is stopped the Bills have time to down the ball. Graham is running his route into a LB and the safety. If Graham runs his pattern underneath it is smack into a LB. IMO, Fitzpatrick didn't go to Stevie because he can't make that throw with any consistency.
  18. Fitz deserves blame on the pick because both Spiller and Johnson were both open on the left side. It was a poor decision on his part.
  19. How does this clown have any credibility? "Norquist has long held that lower tax rates lead to higher revenue, by spurring economic growth." Has this not been proven to be wrong, time and time again?
  20. Wow! One pass undoes any positives for Fitzpatrick.
  21. I would rather have a ref calling what he sees even if it is wrong than a having a ref make calls based on the jerseys, and the names on them, involved
  22. I said this would happen. Once the "real" refs came back you would start seeing certain teams get calls they weren't getting at the beginning of the year.
  23. Republicans fleeing Obamacare are going to a country with free healthcare? :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  24. I wonder if the David Petraeus scandal is what was rumored a week or two ago.
  25. That a nice sentiment, just a bit naive and unrealistic. We live in an age where one computer program can do the job once done by 50 accountants. It is the nature of the world we live in. The world isn't pre-school where they can make sure every child playing musical chairs has a seat.
