The next Buffalo Bills head coach should be Wade Phillips.

Watching the talking heads this morning I came across Amy Kremer from the "Tea Party Express." I listened to her try to categorize healthcare as an "Entitlement." If the Right is good at one thing it is creating boogieman. From "WMDs" to "Insurgents" to "Socialists" to "Obama-Care" to "Entitlements" and most recently using "mental health" as an excuse for all the gun violence, the Right should spend as much time trying to solve the actual problems this country has instead of the fear mongering.

Problem solved. I propose a 40 game "regular season" to determine the seeding for a 30 team playoffs.

Does a shortened schedule help or hurt the Sabres chances? They had one of the better inter-conference records in the league, at 11-6-1, last season. Would a 40-50 game schedule against only Eastern Conference teams hurt the Sabres?

Interesting indeed, want percentage of these extra seats will be sold to those on the season ticket waiting list or individual game sales.

It's 2012 going into 2013, why are the Russian players wearing bumper stickers on the front of their helmets?

I honestly believe that this "Fiscal Cliff" negotiations and the NHL negotiations are very similar. I think President Obama and Commissioner Bettman both have the deals already constructed. it's just up to the Republicans and the Players to finally realize they are in no win situations and accept what they are given.

Nice! I'll be watching the game for one reason, Manti Te'o. If he plays a great game in the biggest game of his career he'll top my Bills wish list for the off-season.

I holding out for that option where all the contracts are voided.

How much of that goes to Gailey's ego? If Spiller carries this team on his back, Spiller gets all of the credit. If Fitzpatrick leads the team to victory than Gailey's reputation as a QB guru get's enhanced. "Pride goes before the fall" as they say. Come Monday I hope we are talking about the new openings in the Bills front office. Also: GO Jets! GO Lions! GO Eagles! GO Raiders! Remember when being a Buffalo sports fan felt like this? http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=8780568&categoryid=2378529

I blame Gailey for Spiller missing the Pro-Bowl. This should have been a monster year for Spiller, Gailey refused to give him the ball on a consistent basis. Gailey was so afraid of the offense becoming one-dimensional he turned the offense into a non-dimensional offense.

Johnson was not prepared to play that game mentally. He checked out. If you think that whining to the officials means his head was in that game, that's fine. His lack of concentration on the field told a completely different story.

"Here I come to Save the Thread!" Are modern day hockey players concerned about their legacy? Have mega-contracts replaced the Hall of Fame as the ultimate status symbol in the eyes of players? Players certainly get paid enough as is, why would they continue to sacrifice games off of their careers just to get a few dollars more? Many players are burning a year of their prime. When they look back at their careers and they fall just short of milestones are players going to be filled with regret?

Right now the Bills would be drafting 6th with an outside chance to draft 3rd overall if Oakland, Philly and Detroit win. That is as long as they can avoid doing something stupid like beating the Jets. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/blog/rob-rang/21446386/updated-2013-nfl-draft-order Johnson looked like a player that has already given up and is in off-season mode. I wouldn't be surprised if he begged off next week with some, cough cough, "injury."

Do you mean as a motivational speaker or a QB? Here we are at the end of another dismal season still in desperate need of a quarterback. The Bills are going to waste more draft picks and free agent dollars chasing a QB. At this point I have no faith in Nix and Gailey ending the QB drought and I have less faith that this franchise can find a quality GM and a head coach to move this franchise forward.

After the last elections Karl Rove and Grover Norquist are too busy trying to regain any shred of credibility they can.

I would have liked to see as part of the lease is a option for Erie County to take the $400 million at any point during the first 7 years and send the Bills packing. Let's see some predictions. The over/under for total amount of wins by the Bills during life of this lease is 50. I'll predict under.

It's amazing that the Republicans are allowing the Tea Party types to tear the entire party down.

Children will be the catalyst for real change in this country. It seems your nephew is expressing raw emotion, there are many avenues for him to channel that emotion. It would do this country well if your nephew and others like him create a real outcry for change in regards to the gun problem in this country. The youth of this country dominate social media, it would warm my heart to see the youth of this country using that power to effect real change. A strong message to the so-called "adults" that run this country that they are tired of being put in danger by the politics of the so-called "adults."

I heard a stat quoted today, the ratio is 43-1, the number of times a legally owned gun is used on a friend or family member compared to an intruder. The idea that a gun offers the owner safety and security is just a lie. All a gun does is put the owner and their family at risk. In this case it put 20 children and 6 adults at risk and cost them their lives.
-
At least when you get sick you head will already be firmly buried in the sand.
-
There is no better thread for such a discussion than a thread about a man killing 20 children and 6 adults with guns. It's a horrible tragedy in a growing list of gun related tragedies. Tragedies like today will continue to happen until something is done about the gun problem in the country. He doesn't have to worry about re-election. More people have been killed by American citizens with guns in this country than by "terrorists" in this country. Guns are the #1 threat to national security and I hope the President realizes that.

How about a congratulations for all those that make it possible for a 20 year old to have access to such a "perfect weapon for mowing down toddlers." Money and time well spent.

31st school shooting in the United States since Columbine. 14 total worldwide during that same period of time.
