Murray has traded a lot of assets in a very short period of time
GoPre replied to jahnyc's topic in The Aud Club
Kind of fun to surf other teams message boards and see what their fans have to say about the Sabres, especially the Bruins. Their board is about to explode! Many expressing their want for the Bruins to be in the Sabres shoes right now. Rather entertaining. -
 I do the same thing every summer. Kind of fun actually. Brings back the days when there were no roster updates and online gameplay. Would spend hours fixing rosters for every team. Haven't purchased Madden in a while. W/ the Bills going in an entirely new direction and Madden being on the PS4 for more than one year, may have to pick that up. Miss NCAA Football... :( And yes, NHL 16 is a must buy this year. W/ modes/features returning + who knows what else for the PS4 and Xbox One, can't pass it up. Before the draft/trades went down, I had McDavid on the team. Only because Eichel wasn't in the game. Also traded Grigorenko + a late 1st for O'Reilly w/ all the 'what if' going on. Rather close to what actually went down. Now it's no longer fantasy. It's for real! After making the trade for O'Reilly, placed him first line RW, McDavid first line C and Kane first line LW. Have quite a few changes to make! Do you only play sport games? If so, give Bloodborne, The Last of Us or Shadow of Mordor a try to get a taste of what the gaming world has to offer. First two mentioned are PS4 only. Forgot about that. What system do you have?

Exact question I had. A shoulder injury w/ Kane? Yeah, that's something to worry about. -

Legitmate question. Since none of us have any privy to medical records, my Dad, in the medical profession, was wondering how many fantasy leagues you are in. And no, I'm not some teenager w/ an attitude problem. Simple 34 wondering wtf you're talking about. -

That's known as over valuing. Some GM named "Darcy something" used to do that. Yeah, would've been great to follow his plan. -

Murray said from the get go picks/prospects would be used to better this team. He went w/ his plan and executed it very well. The Sabres are far better and prepared for the future. -
At the start the season all 4 will be in the top 6. Roughly 1/2 way through Girgensons will play 3rd line center and O'Reilly will be bumped to RW on the 1st or 2nd line. Of course this is what I think/hope for.

That I'm up for. Foligno has some trade value. Maybe him + something could help land an LD the Sabres need.

What sliders do you use? I've been playing NHL for years, but have never messed around w/ the sliders. Simply put it on all star and simulation. Would like a more life like type of game. Maybe the sliders you use could provide that. Would appreciate it very much!

Hodgson will either be dealt or bought out. Teams know Buffalo now has great depth at center. Probably know if they wait Hodgson will be bought out. They can then pick him up for a reasonable price and not give up a draft pick or prospect for him. However, by waiting a team would get into a bid war for Hodgson, but give me a break. It's not going to take much to land the guy. Hodgson needs change to return to his former level of play. There is now no room for Hodgson on the Sabres.

Hope I'm wrong on this, but I think the last roster update is post trade deadline. Would love to have Eichel, O'Reilly and Lehner on the Sabres. And of course all other players in the NHL being on the teams they are now on. However, Eichel was never in the game. Hasn't signed a contract yet, so if there were to be an update he won't be a part of it. McDavid is in NHL 15, but that's because he played in the CHL. Eichel was in the NCAA. This prevented him from being in NHL 15.

Gameplay/story surpasses graphics. Too bad a large part of the gaming industry either does not understand that or is under the belief graphics will sell more games. And if the latter is the case, that means the general gaming community prefers graphics over gameplay. *Wind Waker was a kick arss game.

NHL abroad has to be taking notice of the Sabres. Buffalo is returning to scary good. Shiit, on the verge of surpassing scary good. If players reach their full potential, this may end up being the best team in Sabres history. Buffalo now has their young core established. Much like Chicago did in 07 or so. Murray's job is now to maintain that core and fill in the missing pieces when needed. Here's to an incredible Eichel weekend!

W/ the draft practically being over, next thing to look forward to is Eichel's announcement. After that it's free ageny! As WildCard mentioned above, Eichel's announcement will most likely be very soon. I agree w/ that 110%. A strong hint of it tonight would be enough reason to celebrate!

:w00t: That was funny!

Ehrhoff would be affordable. Played for 4 million last year? If he wants to be here bring the guy back.
-
When he originally signed people felt the Sabres were on the brink of being a contender for the Eastern Conference. And then the season started..... Yeah, peoples thoughts changed rather quick. Didn't Darcy have 4 days to sign him after getting the rights from the Islanders? From what I can recall the Sabres offer was roughly the same as the Islanders. He agreed to Buffalo's. Had no interest in New York's. To me that says he had a 'want' to be in Buffalo. I do agree w/ your opinion of once the Sabres went tank he wanted out. How many players would want to stay w/ a team that plans to lose? Also support your ZFG. Bring Ehrhoff back if he makes the team better.

Would be nice to have Stewart playing RW on the 3rd line. Murray needs to land a top 4 UFA D and a quality UFA backup to Lehner. Have no hopes for Johnson. This team is on the brink of being scary good. Make a couple of additions and let them grow together. Will not be long at all.

This lineup is from sabres.nhl.com I like this lineup for the start of the season. Keep Girgensons on the top 2 lines by pushing him to RW. Like the idea of keeping Eichel and Reinhart off the first line. Less pressure. As the season progress make appropriate changes. Maybe moving Girgensons to C line 3, Eichel to C line 1, Reinhart to C line 2 and O'Reilly to RW line 2. Evander Kane - Ryan O’Reilly - Tyler Ennis Matt Moulson - Jack Eichel (if he goes pro) - Zemgus Girgensons. Marcus Foligno - Sam Reinhart - Brian Gionta Nicolas Deslauriers - Johan Larsson - Jamie McGinn Extras: David Legwand, Cody McCormick Josh Gorges - Zach Bogosian Jake McCabe - Rasmus Ristolainen Mike Weber - Mark Pysyk Goalies: Robin Lehner Chad Johnson

That's the reason I hope Martin comes to Buffalo. Isn't Beauchemin one of Murray's boys? It'll be interesting to see who Buffalo goes after.

Ha Maybe asking GMTM for a little advice?

Ha Murray's day was similar to the one Kevin Costner had in "Draft Day." At one point he's getting criticized/slammed and the next he's being praised for what he managed to pull off. Murray made it look so easy. Exaggerated idea of what things may have been like after Lehner trade Exaggerated idea of what things may have bee like after O'Reilly trade Skip to 2:30ish. 3:10 is where it feels like Murray.

:censored: Is the reaction of many Vancouver fans. A 3rd and 7th? Thought they'd get a 2nd rounder for him.

The this year/next year junk is driving me crazy! Like to think it all means EIchel will be in Buffalo in October. Hoping it all means the same. Eichel and other sources should be saying this year if he plans to play Buffalo in October. Didn't see your correction Brawndo. Did remember the BU coach using "next year" when interviewed this past week. I'm sure he meant this fall, but the way it's worded it leaves you hanging.... Eichel will be a Sabre in October. Wouldn't be surprised if McDavid, we'll never learn of it, was jealous of him.
