  1. Yep, people in a number of professions have to sign some type of code of ethics. If allegations are made you did something immoral or illegal, you can be canned. People are advised to be mindful of what they post on on the internet.
  2. I agree w/ you. It's a simple annoyance for those that play online. We'll have Eichel after a roster update. For those that don't play online, they're stuck w/ creating Eichel. Once a player turns pro, they should be in the game.
  3. That's what I meant. Used QB as an example. When I mentioned the numbers, I was meaning the announcer would say their name you put in. If you didn't, their number would be said.
  4. That is true. You could edit the players and their names, not numbers, would be announced while playing the game. Plus, an elite qb in the game would strongly resemble an actual elite qb on the very same team.
  5. Like your middle 3. Oduya is a dependable d-man that showed he can raise his level of play when needed. Looked great in the playoffs. Plus, he's a vet. Wouldn't have to sign him to a long term deal. Martin is also a vet that would be good for the young players. He's played w/ Bylsma before and can help establish his system in Buffalo. Williams is a legitimate RW. Put up 40+ points the past two seasons on a team not known for scoring goals. What about Christ Stewart? If Williams or Stewart were signed, that may push Gionta to the 4th line. Or would Buffalo put Williams or Stewart on the 4th? If that were case, what's the point in signing them? Wow, isn't it great to have so many questions about what lines/positions players should be on?!
  6. Agreed. What NCAA athletes signed last year made or did not make it into NHL 15? Definitely a question that probably needs a little research. Stupid NCAA. Ended the NCAA Football series by EA. Enjoyed playing that more than Madden.... NCAA may be not the reason for players not being in an NHL game after signing a contract. It just doesn't make sense.
  7. Had PS1 and PS2, but decided to go w/ the 360 when it came out. Got the red ring of death 3 times. Gave up on the system and returned to Playstation. Haven't looked back. Now, let me add Microsoft did fix a number of problems the original 360 had. Failure rate, to my understanding, eventually fell to the norm for gaming systems. Now, Xbox has a few incredible exclusives. I'm not bashing the franchise. Depends on what type of gamer you are. I like what Playstation has to offer. Only disappointment is the low amount of turn based rpg's for current consoles. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White kicked butt. That was a Playstation only game. Also a big Nintendo fan. Love the the 1st party games. Zelda, Mario, etc.... Tremendously enjoy playing Nintendo w/ my kids.
  8. Good point. I'll keep this thread on the board. Would like to see Mike Richards updates as they happen.
  9. Didn't that happen w/ Reinhart last year? Eventually he was put in. Can't remember if it was NHL 14 or even NHL 15, too lazy to check it out, but Armia or some other played signed by the Sabres was never put in the game. Even as roster updates were made. But yeah, it's a dumb rule. Quite sure a decent amount of NHL fans into gaming will be buying NHL 16 just to have McDavid and Eichel in the game. McDavid was in NHL 15, but it'd be sweet to see both in NHL 16. EA, NHLPA and whoever else know what the fans want.
  10. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll delete this thread.
  11. LA has terminated Mike Richards contract due to a breach of contract. Supposedly they were in the process of buying him out and possibly in talks of trading his services to the Oilers. Rumored reason for termination, something reporters are being rather tight lip about, involves an incident at the U.S./Canadian border. Sports law expert, Michael McCann, said providing material breach is generally high threshold. The NHLPA is in the process of reviewing this termination.
  12. Alright, apologize for asking this, but did something unfortunate happen to Nobody? Or is this some type of joke? Yeah, I can be gullible.
  13. Melrose was canned after 16 games. Took a look at the ice time for his first 16 games, he played about 12 minutes a game. That's an eye ball number. Didn't feel like doing a little math. There were few as low as 7 when Melrose coached, but there were stretches in the 2nd half the season where he received less than 10 minutes on ice. But yeah, Melrose is an idiot. Can't believe I even bother to listen to him on ESPN. Man, can't believe I even bother to watch anything hockey related on ESPN.
  14. Good point. Tampa played it relatively safe w/ Stamkos his rookie season. Believe he averaged 14:52 of ice time.
  15. After x amount games are played and experienced is gained, I'd want Eichel 1st line C, O'Reilly 1s line RW, Reinhart 2nd line C, Ennis 2nd line RW and Girgensons 3rd line C. This keeps the rookies a part and probably suits each player best.
  16. Much appreciated! I'll give Dumb and Dumber To a shot this week. And yes, the first Hot Tub Time Machine was hilarious! Kind of like comedies that go back to the 80's. I was a young kid, but thought it was a great decade. Grew up listening to many of the rock bands that made it big right before or during the 80's.
  17. That is understandable. The current setup is new, so there may be an adjustment period. Especially between two rival teams from the previous division. Honestly, do you think Boston would make a trade w/ Buffalo w/out wanting a little extra? GM's naturally relate better to other GM's for different reasons. One has to involve being in the same division, and that can't be a good thing. I will agree w/ the divisions being larger you will see more same division trades than in the past. However, a GM will almost always prefer to make a trade outside a division. Man, LA wanted Jones out of the Western Conference.
  18. 12/13 season- 36 games 56 points13/14 season - 80 games 104 points (2nd most in in his career) 14/15 season - 77 games 84 points (League high was 87) Not as dominant after his concussion? Yeah, okay. Look at Crosby's numbers since it all went down. He had his 2nd best season in 14'. Not as dominant? Give me a break.
  19. The Murray's traded within the division. That's almost breaking an unwritten rule. Both saved face w/ what they gave up. It was a balanced trade. As for the concussion, isn't there some hockey player named Sidney something that missed almost an entire year of hockey due to having one? His level of play didn't change a bit. Can't quite remember the name. Maybe he was over rated. SARCASM if you haven't figured it out.
  20. Kind of figured that for Saad. A far reach for sure. Would you really want Murray offering Tarasenko 9 to 10M after picking up O'Reilly? We're talking roughly 17M for two players. That's approaching Kane and Toews numbers. It'd seriously jack things up for the young core Buffalo now has. Most certainly would not be able to keep them together in the long term.
  21. No chance in h-e-double hockey sticks Buffalo tries for all 4. Hope Murray can land Saad and/or Oduya. Just trying to think realistic. Sekera may possibly have no interest in returning to Buffalo. Tarasenko would cost too much. Honestly want 17 million locked up in 2 players? (Tarasenko and O'Reilly)
  22. Have any of you seen Hot Tub Time Machine 2? I enjoyed the first one a lot. Worth watching? What about Dumb and Dumber To? Just looking for something funny to watch.
  23. Here's one from a Bruins message board. Almost feel bad for them.....wait, no I don't. What, the ****, is the plan? It's not to get younger, because they traded Hamilton. It's not to go for it, because they traded Lucic. It's not to create cap flexibility, because they overpaid for McQuaid. It's not to lose next year, because they kept Julien. It's not to trade their way back into contention because they just used their best trade currency (picks). Why is there not a Fire Neely/Sweeney thread yet?
  24. Appreciate that very much!
  25. Couldn't agree more. Word is out Hamilton may have been a problem in the locker room. Boston claims they tried to keep Hamilton by offering 5 million a year, but apparently that wasn't enough. Rumor is Hamilton told Boston which teams he'd sign w/ and which ones he wouldn't. Maybe Arizona was on the not signing list? Now the Coyotes may still have declined whatever Hamilton + offer from Boston. But yeah, poor drafting/trades was a terrible start for GM Sweeney. The Bruins may be in for a few very bad seasons.
