Close Encounters of the Third Kind is 40 years old?! Where does time go? It's back in theaters. Never had a chance to see it on the big screen, so I may give it a try. If you haven't seen the movie, at least give it a watch at home. Not your typical sci-fi movie.

College football is in full swing today! Over the years I have become more of a college football fan. NFL, minus the Bills, has lost my attention. Too boring to watch. If you don't have a franchise qb, your team is usually playoff berth at best. Plus, the NFL seems to have less energy. Players don't appear to be giving 100%. Anyhow, couple of ranked games being played today. Michigan and Florida are going at. Wanting the Gators to win. Went to an SEC school, so I'm pulling for the conference. Big game is Alabama and Florida State. Number 1 against number 3!! insane matchup for week 1. Again, gotta pull for an SEC team. So roll tide!! How sweet it is for college football to be back in action.

Same here. At one point it was pretty close. Always in favor of the Sabres. Shortly after the Kelly era, only one I knew at the time due to my age, came to an end, it became 75/25 Sabres. Today, it's 95/5....

And a good time to watch. Indiana and Ohio State about to be tied 14-14 late in the first half. The opening weekend is going to have one heck of a start w/ Alabama and Florida State going at it. That's a number 1 against a number 3!!!

Holy smokes Matt Stafford landed a record deal. He signed a 5 year extension w/ Detroit. Stafford is guaranteed 92 million!! W/ this deal and the contracts Carr and Luck recently signed, a new expected salary is slowly being set for franchise qb's. A contract like that will be a large hit to cap space.

Late to discuss, but who are you pulling for tonight? I'm going for Mcgregor. He's the underdog. Few are giving him a serious chance. Fits the Buffalo sports fan. Not paying to watch, but will follow the updates. The more the better.

Isn't it possible for a person not to have signs or symptoms of damage for a few days after looking at a solar eclipse w/ no protection? After watching a partial eclipse, I can't pass on the total in 2024. As much as I can't wait to see it, I will not look at a solar eclipse w/out eye protection.

A bit late to ask this question.... any of you watching the eclipse today? Where I'm at roughy 86% of the sun will be covered. Wish I had traveled to an area that will get to experience a total eclipse, but I am still very excited. Have a pair of safe solar glasses ready to go!

Varsity Blues is a great high school football movie. Always watch it after seeing the first high school game of the season. I'll be watching it late tonight!!

I haven't attempted to buy one yet, but I still haven't seen one in stores. Every time I have checked online, it's listed as out of stock. My kids will be asking Santa for a Switch, so I gotta "help" the guy deliver. I can see many being much like Arnold in the movie Jingle All the Way. The demand/supply is nowhere close to matching. The moment I see a Switch I'll pick it up. The sooner the better. Would not like trying to beat the crowds this Holiday season.

War for the Planet of the Apes looks like a must see. Supposedly the best one yet. Rarely see a trilogy that didn't have a disappointing movie.

Nintendo is at it again. An SNES Classic will be released in September. If people thought it was difficult to find an NES Class, wait until they attempt to find the SNES. Yep :thumbsup: If a GM is not willing to match what Botterill feels Kane is worth, keep him this season and try for a reasonable extension. Only trade Kane shortly before the deadline if he wants to test the market. There will be a team making a run that will want/need Kane. Injury would be the main concern. Sometimes you gotta roll the dice.
